  1. Hell yeah, strip those cranks of that ugly OG finish and bling them out! my thoughts exactly.
  2. so wait, these were all finds that popped up before you worked there? what happens now if you find a nice bike??
  3. i heard that profile started in flemmington nj and TNT started in NJ. can anyone verify?
  4. he actually had it up for a good price. 850 shipped for almost a complete- (missing the forks, sprocket, seatpost, & tires.) it was one of those situations where i wanted it... but i already owned it, along with many other 89's, so i passed
  5. br8knrun put it up for sale yesterday, not sure if it sold yet though
  6. im living in an establishment with limited space. i have the future ambitions of being able to do what doug has done... have a special little section of the house dedicated for bike storage. ive pretty much got 14 completes, but ive disassembled all but 5. the other 9, i wrapped up and stored them until a later date .
  7. 79 and below= vintage 80-88= oldschool 89-94= early midschool 95-05= midschool 06-13= newschool my reasoning: 79 and older is just outrageously old.. call it vintage 80-88 is old school. has a quilled stem and poor quality parts that would snap at any moment if ridden by today's riders. 89-94 is still kinda considered old in my mind because you still have quilled stems, but considering that it was all about rider owned companies and the quality was much better, i'd say early midschool 95-05... american bottom brackets, 1 1/8" headsets, standard style headsets, heavy thick tubing. bikes weighing over 30 lbs. handle bars cut to 23". railed seats. tripple wall rims. 06-13 is new. mid bb, intergated headsets, light weight parts, double butted chromoly, pivitol seats, integrated seat clamps/posts. big bars again. laser cut small dropouts.
  8. lmao that gif is hilarious. ill have to post up some pics later
  9. its a 93-95. 90-91 holmes' has thinner seat stays, larger triangle gussets, flat brake bridge, different style machined headtube... all different 92 had a murray seat stay. they say you cant tell an s&m by its serial number, but damned if i havnt had tons of them match the first number. i would bet that this is a 94. 990 mounts were still an option in 94 as well.
  10. awesome frame man, gotta love early cook stuff gotta hate the prices of the parts though lol
  11. thanks ryan, and thanks for all of your help with it too man. thanks chromey! yeah it is very special, im glad everyone enjoyed the read
