  1. Great stuff. The Scorpions were an exotic racer in our area back in the early 1980s.
  2. Nice bike!!! An old thread, but worth bringing back to the front ...
  3. Greetings - Looking for information on 1997 Standard Motocross frames & forks ... photographs and information!!! I just purchased a 1997 Standard Motocross frame with what looks like a BASH fork. Serial number indicates that the frame was stamped October 1997 and was the 73rd frame of the month. Frame weighs 5 lbs 2.8 oz and the fork weighs 2 lbs 15.2 oz. Frame does have the flared 25.4 inch seatpost tube that was used on the 1985 and 1986 Schwinn Black Shadows. Any photographs or information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! ... Philip
  4. It's been a while, but here is an update to this Standard 125R build. I have applied custom decals and changed out a few of the parts ... Bullseye Raceworks REV2 stem, Crupi Pro Round pedals, Kenda Small Block 8 tires, Tioga D-Spyder S-Spec Pivotal seat, and Alienation Pivotal seat post. Hope you enjoy!!!
  5. Nick - You are preaching to the choir. Look forward to keeping up-to-date with this thread. Thanks! ... Matt ...
  6. Well, the holidays are quickly approaching. If I don't sell this beauty in the next couple of days, I will keep it, decal it up and ride/race the crap out of it. Either way, everything is good. Thanks for the comments. BTW, do you still have that bike? ... Philip ...
  7. Nitromors ... Some great material there. Your bike is one of my favorite Standard builds. Thanks for posting!!!
  8. I raced a stock 1982 Schwinn Scrambler. Compared to the Stings, that Scrambler was heavy!!!
  9. Really like that R&R looptail. Such a sleek racing profile. Those R&Rs were way ahead of the times. Thanks for sharing!!!
  10. That straight top-tube on the PK Ripper looks real cool. Love that OG blue color with the tan graphics. Looks like a pure racer!!! Nice addition to any collection. Congratulations!!!
  11. Haven't posted in a while. Been busy with a prototype build. In the meantime, I did get back the repop Standard decals that I had made up for my builds ONLY!!! I did customize a few of the decals to my liking. I'm hoping that Rick at Standard will start re-producing the original race decal-sets for those of us that like the early Standard decals. Next step is to apply the decals ... the final step in completing this build. Wish me luck!!!
  12. Another great issue BMX Action. Thanks for all the work you do to bring us these BMX issues!
  13. Any color suggestions for a Standard cruiser frame, fork & bars? I'm thinking about army green, but yellow has crossed my mind!
