Thanks for the compliment on the Bike osRLracer!
-
I totally get what your saying about giving it that old school look and that is what I am trying to accomplish...but with an 1981 to 1983 flavor. I know it's a 79 frame and a lot of guys like to stay totally era correct.
-
I want to know why Toby wouldn't have a set of Hutch Cranks on his racer?
-
I appreciate the feedback. I would like a number plate that would be a little more era correct as well as some different pedals. I'm a number plate kind of guy... any suggestions as to what would look good? I really would like to put a set of oldschool Bullseye pedals on it, but they are hard to come by and expensive. As for the build I raced a 1983 Hutch XL24 back in the day and I kind of built it around the style of my old bike.

What do you think?

Thanks S.Brothers! You have a sick OM. I love seeing the oldschool 26's and can't wait to bring my bike and my 5 year old son up to Bellflower. After seeing my old trophies and BMX Mags he's showing quite the interest and getting pretty good on his 16". Future ripper I hope. Hopefully we can meet in June. -
After seeing Nick's recent post I thought it would be nice to see some other members 26" rides. Let's see them fellas! Here is my baby! See you guys at Bellflower in June.

My version of the 26" Webco

Sweet 26 Nick! Here is my daily rider. -
Thanks everyone for the input and suggestions. So I've got it all together and it actually rides much better than I expected it would. You can tell there is a little hang up on a few of the larger bulges, but I do think I can remedy this with a little filing. It's not noisy so I assume that's a good thing as well. I'll let you know the outcome.

Alright, I went to the garage looked at it, got the chain at the perfect tension and decided to just go with it. The chain hangs up a little bit when I spin the cranks slowly, but does pretty well the faster I spin the cranks. Maybe as I ride it the burs will wear down and perform a little more smoothly. This is my rider and I might be over thinking it. What would have caused the teeth to flange out like that anyway? Alignment wrong? The sprocket itself looks very straight.

Here I am again with another issue. Soon as I finished putting on the 401's I just picked up I noticed that the chain is not working smoothly due to the teeth having burs so to speak. Please see picture. How do I go about fixing the problem without ruining the sprocket.
