  1. Thanks Drew, once again I was really excited about building this bike. There are a few more on the horizon coming together. Still waiting on the Comp II's and Elina seat for the Kuwahara build and the Suntour VX cranks need to be re-annodized (although they are good enough to take a few photos of for posting). Then I am going to start on the JMC I just got from Jody, the one that was built for Norms in 1984, then I will redo the JMC I got from 1brokespoke. The GT 26" is still searching for some forks and bars before that one can be started, although I have everything else. After those three I do not have any idea what will be on the plate, but I will need to do a Torker sooner or later. As for the decals you want to get done, email me the scans, and let me see what we can do. Our digital printer is one of the cutting edge solvent ink printers currently on the market, so I expect some excellent results from it. The bigger issue is going to be getting the correct media to print on. The we would be able to die cut the decals to the correct size, once again I suspect they will turn out very nice. In fact if anyone has a scan that they think we could do some stickers for them please to not hesitate to ask. We also have nice vinyl cutters to make trick numbers and any die cut sticker from back in the day. I would just need a scan as high of quality as possible emailed to me. This is a free of charge offer to all OS BMX members. best wishes, Rick
  2. Thanks Kyle, As for the decals, if they turn out they would not cost me but about $1 a set to make, and selling them could put me in violation of copyright laws, thus if I am going to make some for myself, no reason not to run off a 100 or so sets and offer them to individuals. We will see, I think the original are screen printed, whereas we will digitally print them. So the process will be different, although the outcome should be the same. The digital repro's would have a 3+ year lifespan guaranteed, but I would expect them to last 20+ years, without fading. Rick btw. is it just me or is the board dead?
  3. I have about three of these now, they are all very nice. Given I stopped racing in 83, I am not that familiar with them, what year(s) are they from. Thanks Rick
  4. Drew, Great looking unit. I love the OS Stems, they are so clean looking and while not built in the "era", I think they are era correct. So far both of my GT's have them. Rick
  5. Here is the "almost final" product... 82 GT Frame GT Forks (later model) 2005 OS BMX Neck CW Bars Oakley 3 grips (my favorites) DiaCompe MX1000 Brakes Shimano DX Cranks Shimano DX Pedals Izumi Chaim Weinman wheels w/SunShine hubs Comp III Tires SunTour seat post clamp Hatta Headset The only thing I have left to do is put the rest of the stickers on. I am going to scan them first so that we have a good electronic copy and try and make some replicas that we will "give" away to OS BMX members in need. let me know what you think. Rick
  6. These bars are CW's that I got from Snorton, they were stripped down to the metal when I got them....
  7. Tomorrow night I will post the final pictures.... would have finished it tonight, but just got home from SF. Tough couple days at work. Sorry for stringing you on. Rick
  8. By the way Bret, if you happen to look at this, these are the wheels I am going to send to you. Here is another before, the pictures actually did not do the bike justice, it was in much worse shape than these photos show. The frame only had one issue and that is one very small dent on the top tube. The forks were bent and had to be replaced. Wow, I am really jacked up about this build. Rick
  9. This is the first of many posts over the next few days that will chronicle my efforts to transform an 1982 GT back to its glory days. The below picture is obviously the "before" picture..... Just got the frame, forks and bars back from powder coat, hopefully I will get the headset pressed in on Thursday and can complete the build at that time. For once I have all the parts already in my possession to complete this one in one evening. Rick
  10. Here is the toys that share the shop, a V-24 race boat, 28' Nordic Heat, 26" GT Cruiser and a couple of snowmobiles.
  11. Every shop needs a desk loaded with BMX parts.
