  1. Thanks for the ID help and yes this is an ELF mini cruiser. The frame is in really nice condition and is currently up on the "bay" for sale if anyone here is interested. Search ELF bmx to find. Peace :15_8_200v[1]:
  2. Happy Saturday. I picked this up at a yard sale and am sure it is not a GT. Any help would be appreciated in finding out the identity. Steel wheels, short cranks, stamped "P" Powerlite forks, and a nice DK seatpost clamp. Frame is stamped CR 1193109 on left rear drop out. Welds look nice. I hope its not a Huffy. The top tube 21 1/2" loooong. Thanks in advance for any help .
  3. Seriously all these bike are BOTY in their own right. So DOPE hard to pick just one. Tough decisions this year in each category, Peace & have a great new year!!!
  4. Thanks for the positive feedback guys. I appreciate it. Haters -I redid this trashcan treasure because of its baked stickers, thrashed paint and chrome that was shot on the forks. No oxy baths or any amount of polish was gonna make me happy with the frame or forks. So it got fresh powder. I always try to preserve original finishes but not here. Besides its not like I stripped a candy red original Kos Kruiser or original white T/A. Green Griffin 420 you would know.
  5. Those are looking like knock offs. Real ones do have 2 strips of knurl and bottom of tubes look really different. Check the pic. Hope this helps.
  6. I found this bike in the trash with a severed rear section. OS-BMX member Suicyco hooked me up with an intact rear end and this turned into a fun summer build. Thanks Perry. I always admired these bikes with removable tail section and some square tubes they are mid school sickness in my opinion. Check out before and after pics. It rarely happens this way but I had 90% of the parts for this build and I think it turned out pretty nice for a trash can rescue. All parts were in great used or NOS condition. Only change for the future is to add some pads, Haro plate, and a seat you can actually ride. Hope you like it.
  7. Nice Goose, and awesome that it's a rider. I too have a Californian and would be thrilled to find re-pop decals and or pads for mine. Any help here would be appreciated. Drop a PM. Thanks
  8. The 3 Wheeling magazine sticker is dope. KNAC pure rock 105.5 those were the days. I am such a sticker whore and have a bunch of old ones too. Cool to see those.
  9. Here are a couple of pictures of my 86 Schwinn Black Shadow before and after. Affectionately nicknamed project half-baked this bike sat non-drive side up in the desert for a long time destroying half the finish. I rescued it 2 years ago and recently took some wet sand paper to the half baked finish and revealed a very nice nickel finish. Finished in March 2009 I stripped (600grit), sanded (800-1000), and hand polished this frame and was very pleased with the results. I must admit these frames do have really good geometry and ride killer. This example has mostly original parts except wheels/ tires, cranks (originals tweaked), brake pads, chain, seat clamp, and grips. I am looking for Schwinn Black Shadow frame stickers, or pads so please let me know if you have them. This was a fun and inexpensive project. Enjoy
  10. I am diggin those Raleigh posters, seriously. I also recently adorned a wall in my home with an old school poster. Diamond Back Harry Leary peace sign poster 1981-82?. I remember having that same helmet and goggles in like 84 (used). Ahh the memories.
  11. These are the 2 cruisers in my stable everything else is 20". Both of these are original finish and stickers with all NOS parts. Great topic, great bikes. Damn 84profile that is one nice ass Patterson
  12. Frame and fork are original finish paint. All the other parts are anodized or polished. Anyone know what kind of bars these are?
  13. I am unsure of the brand on these cruiser bars. They were aged, faded(silver/ black ano), and scratched before they looked like this. They appear to be numbered and are stamped 0502/599. They measure 28"1/2 wide, have 5"1/2 rise, and are polished/ anodized aluminum. I haven't ever seen another pair but suspect they are mid school. Any help as to their brand, etc. would be appreciated. I also have some Brackens cruiser bars which are also rare. Brackens have super nice chrome and are mounted on my Kos. Great topic.
  14. Heres my 1985 PK Ripper in the unoriginal color of safety orange metallic. The stickers on mine are re-pops of the originals in the chrome drip version. Good luck with your decision and post some pics when done.
  15. Yep those are Elf blast bars or also called 6 piece bars. Nice score any chance you would trade the inverted DK neck for a DK XXL neck in great condition? LMK
