A few quick details for this POW-WOW: SATURDAY, SEPT 19, 2015 -We will not be getting a permit this year! -No awards, just tons of bikes, chill folks, grilled food, great scenery and a ride along the boardwalk. -There is no alcohol allowed per SD park laws (I think they are on to the red cups so be creative). -There is no selling allowed (huge fines for that) so it will have to be WAY behind the scenes; no "for sale" signs, no displays, etc. Keep the stuff in your car/truck. -Bring your own food and grills! If you would like to chip in for food, please prepay in advance. (TBD) -This is a family friendly scene, so bring the wife and kids. -There is plenty of parking but if you want some prime real estate, get there early. -Bring a canopy (and sun screen), even San Diego gets warm! -We look forward to seeing plenty of people out. We are excited about this year’s event and think you will be as well. If you have joined us for prior Motor Unions, you know the drill (mostly). Factory Motor Union is an event within 5&A Dime’s annual Motor Union event intended to bring the BMX community together by featuring a mishmash of BMX bikes. This year’s event will be different from past events as we will be holding it at Green Flash Brewery in San Diego on August 12th 2012. We are excited about this new venue, as it will allow for a display of BMX bikes and a cool atmosphere for what’s in store. Admission to the event is free and open to all ages. The fee for entering is $25 and will be collected once your registration application has been approved. If you would like to enter more than one bike, it will be an additional $10 per bike under the same registrant. Each fee will give you one space in the Factory Motor Union event, including an entrance for the chance to win 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place in the riders vote. You will also receive a complimentary event t-shirt with each $25 fee, as well as being automatically entered to win raffle prizes. Once registration is filled out completely, we will review your application, contact you via email to confirm your status, and collect the entrance fee(s) to hold your place. There are only 50 BMX spaces in this year’s event and they are expected to fill quickly so early registration is suggested. Look forward to seeing you there! Due to the cost of the permit, we are asking that EVERYONE that brings at least one bike to show or ride donote at least $5 to recover the cost of the permit.
