  1. Those were out in '94. The problem with them is most are crooked as hell...so, they never really caught on. They look super cool, but the Hecho en Mexico kinda back-fired on a lot of the frames. I saw an NOS example with full sticker set for $179 on eBay a while back, and my buddy and I scored one that looked about like yours for $50 in July. I bought mine new in '94, and rode it all crooked and janky until this summer, just didn't want to admit it was basically unrideable...retiring it was the best thing I have ever done. My new, straight Redline is getting MILES on it each week. Those rear drop outs are the best looking things I have ever seen on a BMX bike. Period....so, I couldn't let it go...hahahaaa. Feel free to PM me.
  2. Yeah, I am dropping my Revcore layback seatpost I just had LENGTHENED (gasp!) to the chromers tomorrow...stoked. The pedals are the best. Still bummed I missed those ti-spindled sets that came on the bay a while back...but, at close to $400, it wasn't in the cards when they were up. Buuut, I still have my stash. Looking for CAGES if anyone has any. Big or mini.
  3. Aaaah, the SAMBA...not just for scoring obscure roofracks after all!
  4. I know people who think I am crazy now for dropping what I did on my last bike (3K)....and we'll see those same fools crying when I show up in Texas to pick it up in April. Live and learn. Bottom line? IF you LOVE it, and can afford it, score it while you can...BMX collecting is catching up with skateboard collecting, and as a dude who was in the thick of that scene, I can only advise you buy pieces you KNOW have intrinsic value, and are on the rare side. They will ONLY increase in value. Sold off a good bit of my skate collection to fund my guitar and Harley habits. The pile of NOS Santa Cruz decks I bought for $20 @ in the late ninties sold for no less than $1500 @ recently. So, if you have the money, and it's a good solid example...pull the trigger while you can.
  5. Revolvers Count those holes again, Griff...... PS, it's a trick question! Is it an XS 6 shooter? Naaaah, actually I made them for my custom Harley show bike! The "count the holes again' thing was the clue...they are 40 hole.
  6. Revolvers Count those holes again, Griff...... PS, it's a trick question!
  7. Anybody got a clue what these are called?
  8. Great seein' y'all there. I was the foolio in the cowboy hat with the Kastans. Rolled in late, as I have been working like a slave @ my tattoo shop. Got to hang with Marty, Kastan team rider and buddy of 15 years as well as our boy Marco and his Redline he's had since '78 in pristine condition. That black DG had me stoked, the Patty? Nice paddock, my man. The grand viking with the orange Champion, and the pile of PROPERLY detailed and finished rides? Fuggedaboudit...he was havin' a great day. The cat with the 20" DGs...great to see him, his Webco, and chat with he and his wifey. Terry from College Cyclery....straight HERO status. Danny, #11, let's stay in touch...and homey from Cordelia, I'll see you next week! Just great to see everyone, catch some motos, nearly die of heat exhaustion...and avoid some tickets...(Thanks Patriot crew for the heads up) ALSO, thanks so much for supporting this event, and the killer after party, so sorry I had to beat-it back home early. Last in, first out....sucks to be me sometimes... Next year, no 4th overlap, do it the week BEFORE. David
  9. PBs rock. Beware PBIIs, they WILL dent frames.
  10. Y'all have fun down there. We have some highlights to dish up here in NorCal...so, we'll see ya on the 4th.
  11. Yeah, if you have the bread to repair/replace and paint...a cool score to be sure...the twin tubes are nice. An old bud used to have a gang of 'em, WITH the Campy gruppos to match. Full NOS shiznit. One he threw together was silver with all gold Campy...just crazy. He offered it to me at a reasonable price....buuut, I am a 24 RIDER...and that shiznit was just too off th' chain.
  12. Yeah...that's why I have always been a Profile man. I am retarded...Redlines are a little too refined for me...hahahaaa. Before they came out with those nifty pullers...I always had wood cut perfectly to perform my deviltry on 'em. Techmatic BBs properly set up, though? Dayum! That's some sweet shiznit.
  13. I have found, in the 15 years I have been on my 24 uniblade that it's the wheel lacing that keeps it firm in the corners...and the smoothness of the pilot that keeps 'em intact. I have seen fools break EVERYTHING...so, it's all the rider IMO...have never had any issues with my struts. KASTANHUNTERS bikes are the cleanest BAR NONE, :24: and a lot of his knowledge and gear comes from Linn Kastan himself...I guess that's why people like to perpetrate, and claim his bikes as their own online nowadays! :nobull: Oh, SNAP!
