  1. Hey Rodney..... only a pimp ridez a Gorilla that nice! Everyone else just trailer queens them if they're lucky enuff to have one. ;>)
  2. Three Bad rigs Billy Macs OG #1 CBR. The forefather of what many consider the first true mass produced 'mountainbike'! Baddest Bike out there! My favorite bike ever with Yellow colored tires. Patty 24 with Graphites. S&S 24" Newport multispeed Ghetto Cruiser in OG condition right down to the air in the tires. Retrieved from the rafters of the garage of the owner of S&S himself.
  3. Redline 400's have a much smaller/weaker spindle and didn't showup until late 81/82, they were considered the cheaper/lesser of the two 3 piece crank setups Redline sold. The first series of flight cranks were the non pinch 401's. I believe they first showed up around late 79/80 NP 401's had problems of the spindle bolt working it's way out so they developed the single pinch around 81, hence the second generation was the single pinch setups. If I remember correctly, guys that were having problems with their non pinch setups were given the option to trade their cranks for the single pinch setups because those cranks were very expensive for the time and they wanted to keep customer satisfaction high (also contributing to the rarity of the non pinch setups today). The other cranks you show with the welded on pedal boss and single pinch remind me of the cranksets that came stock with the complete RL-20II setups, probably a mid to late 80's setup that came with a non threaded spindle and sealed bearings. These are a cheaper manifestation of the Redline Crank. Not a 100% on that, but pretty sure.
  4. That's a first for me......it looks like a PLME cut right in half! Perhaps it might be a design for a mini? Maybe it's a one of kind? Sweet!
  5. Doh! Actually I meant Rod Miles............... I'm not sure if Ben has one but I wouldn't be surprised if he does! You've got more than one Rod? Dang! Some people have all the luck! :32:
  6. Back in the day RRS did put those disc brake setups on their Bad ARSE Schwinn Cruiser setups and a totally beautiful setup it was! Black with Gold accessories and Phil Wood stuff sprinkled thruout that build. One prob with the disc setups that I've heard of from a Phil Wood Collector is locating brakepad replacements as they are difficult to find.
  7. Frickin sweet find! Man when it rains it pours! That clamp was recently found by another bike afficianado in Az recently. I know of only 4 that are in collector hands. It was made by PLME, an elaborate design and very pricey at the time (for a spc) and a total rare find these days, it probably was the first manifestation of the 2 piece seatpost clamps as the PL-1 (powerlite magnesium 2 piece) CBR, DiaCompe and Addicks amongst others followed shortly thereafter. You can see one on the first BMXA CBR test ride in 77. It really stood out in a crowd because most clamps at that time were not bmx specific (usually schwinn). It was eventually distributed by Laguna for a short while before disappearing into oblivion. Ben Joy ironically has his on a DG as well. Beautiful setup. Great find! I suggest keeping it together. :32:
  8. That is a sick ride there Mr. Dunphy......How did I miss that pic? :32:
  9. Hey Jason, look at the rim and you'll see a raised area like a 7b on the MM2, the MM1 has a flat center area like the 7c.
  10. Very nice metamorphosis Rickster! :32:
