  1. Just wanted to say thank you had a great time great food and some very cool bikes.
  2. Thanks for the spelling! The only thing that i agreed on was the TN PP inverted everything else i stand by. All the Pro Neck and Tuf Neck i have are real. If you think Jeff Snorton is shady then so be it. This is a dead end for me you will never see my side. Thanks for all your input.
  3. Thank you for all the input, comments and opinions. The bottom line is it still comes down to one thing!... Marcos opinion about my stem collection... Right? Seems like everyone is now saying,......... Your crazy not to listen to him! No disrespect at Marcos but, I still think my stuff is 100% real deal and you can't prove other wise. I will invite you over to my house to inspect my stem collection if you would like Marcos. In the end you guys have your click in here and i'm a outsider. I get the impression you think i have more money then sense and i just started this two years ago.
  4. That is an interesting version of the site's history. Far from accurate though. 3 or 4 people did not start this site. Jeff Norton started a site called os-bmx. He had no partners. Eventually that site was sold. But... in the early days when os-bmx began... yes, there was some reproduction stuff going on. That included a run of stems - definitely. Many were marked, I don't know if they all were. It would not be a shock if some were not. Jeff's interests have always been more mercantile than anything else. That's not a slam, just a statement of the obvious for anyone that's been around since the first couple years of the site. I like Jeff, we don't necessarily see collecting or running the site the same - but that's a natural difference stemming from perspective and motivation. In the beginning, he wanted to provide an alternative to VintageBMX and he wanted to sell stuff. That included reproduction items. That is FOR SURE. And by the way, the site began in 2004 and he sold it to me in 2006, Jeff has been out of the picture for 5 years now. I was the main site admin the last year that Jeff did own it. Interestingly, despite Norton's motivation, things began to change toward the end of the Norton owned era on OS-BMX, and many members were not interested in buying or supporting reproductions or heavily restored bikes. In time that hostile attitude toward reproductions went from minority to majority to a core tenant. Reproductions do not benefit those who are interested in collecting and documenting authentic BMX history and culture. Others who have different reasons for participating in BMX collecting may find reproductions acceptable. But while the two modes of collecting may ostensibly seem the same from the perspective of an outside observer... they are really two different things. There may be some overlap, but often the values are very different. Regarding Alvin, he is a close friend of mine and he would not take offense if I said that his collecting activity was characterized by a degree of naivety. You will never find him knowingly mis-representing, but he made some purchases at times that were not done with any due diligence. That was innocent. That is a general fact, and I'm not sure about the gold stem that has been discussed here specifically. As for Juan... he was a relatively late comer to the collecting scene. The os-bmx site that later evolved into BMX Society existed well before Juan came on the scene. He came on strong and bought a lot of stuff. He is recognized for having many great pieces in his collection, but I don't think his name would come to mind for many when asked, "Name one of the most knowledgeable people regarding vintage bmx parts". One the other hand, Haney's name may well come to mind, but since he's very low profile, a lot of people really haven't interacted with him.. But this much is true... the name "Marcos", aka "Just..Me..Chillin', probably would be on a lot of people's short list of people with an authoritative knowledge of BMX. Just sayin. And to be clear... I am in no way accusing you of any malicious intent. I just noted your comment and thought you'd probably appreciate some clarification. Thank you for your clarification and inside on all this. The three or four people i was talking about not on the inside are the people that have or are selling the stems in question. I was not meaning to say the way that it sounded about three or four people starting the site. I do not know personally anyone else it just seems a hand full of people have these stems and have traded hands or sold. Juan and Jeff seem to have them too. These stems in every way look correct and are correct down to ... Some, Even have paper work warranty cards and shelf wear. I think the easy way to look at it if you don't have any is to say they are fake and a repro. It is not like there is or was a endless supply of stems. About Alvin..... Great guy! Backs up what he says and goes crazy in his back yard on his bike! Very cool! About the stem i will post the pictures of what i have of the gold inverted stem. The stem in my opinion is a 100 % real original. Rare bulldog stamp!..... Or the guy that bought it that Marcos knows can post pictures. Sorry i forgot his name.. About Marcos, I think the guy just has it out for me. The guy has been hating on me from the start about these stems. The funny part about it is he has NO proof of what i have or seen what i have. If it is to good to be true it is. I bought some TN PP inverted that in his eyes where incorrect and i told him i will bow down because there was not any adds or anything i could find. End of story! He was right! I could not back up anything on those stems. I really like to collect stems, Pro neck mostly, The stem i have are from the early 80s to the late 80s. I have not bought most of my stems from Jeff Just some of the ones i am selling now. None of my stuff would be for sale now... I might need to move if the bank won't fix my loan on my house. The few stems i have for sale would go back in my collection. I am not trying to do this for a living. The bottom line Nobody can say for sure my stems are repro's! They have NO proof other then their opinion! Sorry! I am trying to type from my phone and read everything i hope i did not miss anything.
  5. Listen, You have NO idea what your talking about and NO proof of anything your saying. The gold stem sold threw Ebay is a Rare bulldog stamp TN in gold that you even said looked like a nice stem. It came off a Floval Flyer that i parted out that i got from a guy named Alvin M. There was a mark on the inside of the stem and the guy questioned me about it and then sent blurry pictures so i reported to Ebay that this guy was scamming me, Which he was NOT scamming me! I ended up sending him $75.00 to make this go away. In the end he did NOT want to send the stem back. OH! The stem was sold as used not NOS. He and i were cool at the end of it and i made sure he was happy. The inverted PP TN we already talked about and i could not find any information and pictures for. I took a big hit on the few stems i had. They where sold privately. You can't only buy a bible from GOD! I will post pictures of the gold stem soon. A lot of my stems i purchased from Jeff Snorton...... even the used gold one that was on a bike that i bought..... Alvin said he got it from Jeff Snorton. I guess he makes fake stems then right! Why don't you give him a call and ask him. Its sad that people only like yourself will put someone out before you even have all the proof. You can't say my stuff is fake you have never seen my collection. Let me guess now!.... All my stems are fake! I do not have enough time in the day to deal with being involved making or selling BMX parts. The funny part the three or four people that where not in the holly grail circle of getting rare bmx parts.... Got some from one of the largest private collections in the world at one time and started this site....... If my name is not Juan or Jeff all my parts are fake! I think that is BS.
  6. Juan and Jeff have the same stems for sale!...... Opps! I mean Juan just sold a blue pro and a inverted and they where the same as mine. One even had the same bag......... Are they fake too! REALLY!
  7. Here we go again! Why do you need to drag me into this? All the stems i am selling now are from Jeff Snorton! I finally asked him if i could say where i have been getting most of my stems from. Let me guess now Jeff make fake bmx parts now too! Two fake stems? You mean one that was in question. Just because we could not find any information on them at all and i talked to you about this already! The gold stem that was on a floval Flyer that i bought off a guy named Alvin. When i asked Alvin where he got his inverted stem he told me Jeff Snorton too. The person that bought the gold stem had a option for 100% refund but he wanted to keep the RARE bulldog stamped inverted stem and we worked it out. END OF STORY! I DO NOT SELL FAKE PARTS!
  8. Oh! I had the plate checked and the plate is a original....
  9. Andreas and I were at war for that initial auction, he offered it to me when he inturn sold it, I passed - went to Juan who sold it on eBay for bearly half of what he purchased it for - I have pics of it when it first sold with the 1pc cranks and DX pedals and ukias etc - he also separated jeff's helmet from the set that was offered up after the auction closed. ---- the forks on it appear to be mini forks and not the proper pit fork.(though that is the way it was sold initially) Please post what ever pictures you have of the pit i would love to see them....
  10. I did not touch it... I will post pictures as soon as i can figure it out on here...
  11. The Helix guy worked at Oakley ....right?... Lives in Foothill Ranch...When that collection came up for sale i got some stuff from him... I did not get any stems from him... I got seats-tires-Headsets-pedals-Hoops from him.... I think he told me he was a watch maker for them...
  12. All those bikes in the picture above are mine now...Well have been for a while.... The only things really left are the F/F i changed out all the parts and build them how i wanted them.. One of them i sold and replaced it with another JMC cruiser.. The Pit now has original silver Araya 7-Pinchless flights with Techmatic -Nos hatta in red and Nos pro neck in blue- JMC DY bars and JMC post-Kashimax MX- Original Wizard plate- MX 1000 brake... I will post pictures soon... I would like your opinion on it....
