  1. The pay pal calculator link is dead.
  2. I'm looking for a lot to finish off my childhood bike. They are all parts you would think would come up often but they haven't lately.
  3. But then the pics would all have to be saved on your computer right?
  4. All of the popular handlebars were reproduced by JC, Gt Pro, Skyway, Mongoose stainless and KOS cruiser bars, and some of the others but I'm not sure which.
  5. Would you sell just the sprocket?
  6. WOW, amazing bike man! This thread is making me want another early Proline and to get off my rear and finish my '76 Decoster!
  7. It sucks, but all you can do is try to help people like this or guide them. You can't have attitude, be rude, or disrespectful to them cause all it will do is cause them to look the other way. People get defensive REAL fast when you are criticizing them or something they are doing. Let the trash talking be and help educate them. If a person knows that original finish is worth more or more respected, chances are they will leave it as is and just give it the proper cleaning/light restoration it deserves to preserve it's well being. We also need to be ok with the fact that there will always be that person that you just can't get through to. Get over it, don't let it bug you, definitely don't lose sleep over it, and get out and ride your bike.
  8. THANK YOU LEE, this is one of my biggest pet peeves. I am totally guilty of having to have things era correct, but I also agree with jipster43. If there is a part from bitd that you loved, run it! Just keep the new school for the new, it has no place for the old unless it's a super temporary thing to get it road worthy until you find the era correct part. I can deal with retro parts on certain things, but not new school, it just makes me want to barf. lol
  9. I agree that survivors should be kept original and in tact, but if someone is selling for a true purpose,(keeping food on the table, bills, unexpected mishaps) and nobody is stepping up to the plate, you have to do what you have to do to get funds. I always see people complaining about survivors being parted, but nobody is willing to step up to the plate to buy them. Not every survivor can be saved unfortunately. In the end, it's still the sellers property to do with what he/she pleases and we have no say in that period.
  10. I love that video, never gets old!
