  1. so, what make it the one I have? Anyone.....I do not see any markings on it.
  2. I remember the stem and the cranks together are heavier than the frame. Never got to change out to lighter stuff as my step-father was tight. He was one of those that walked uphill both ways to and from school. Always told me they work fine do not change it. I, of course, liked the lightweight aluminum necks and 3 piece cranks. My buddies had the gold alloy rims with matching gooseneck and cranks. Mine is almost the way it came new.
  3. More shots including neck for better id
  4. UUurrrr, computer. Can't get it to work. Do it later!
  5. The sun came out so here are more photos for those who asked.
  6. Thanks to all! I will get better pictures, up close shots etc, when the sun comes out. Haven't seen the sun around here in a few weeks it seems. Anyway, I did know of one other close to here MANY years back, but have gotten in contact with him and it was stolen 12-15 years ago. Talking about heartbroken when I told him. We had a track nearby that I raced on, but only for fun. Never entered an official race. I wanted this bike, which was sold to me as a PKRipper, because I thought it was so cool with its thick frame. I rode it like crazy from 9 til 16, then as said, it was stuck in the basement. At one time it was nearly donated or tossed, but I decided to take it to my house and garage it. It has sat on a milkcrate in a storage building for years. I will begin disassembling it to clean and probably powdercoat back to the original SE Brown, if I can get exact. I honesly do not know if it wasn't "painted" when I got it as it had no JU-6 decals on it, only the SE on the neck and on the seat post. I have acquired decals from Jeff Utterback(SO MANY THANKS TO HIM!!), all except the neck decal. Also a big THANKS to Brian Hays for his knowledge and direction in letting me know what I have. Until I get better photos, I will attach some I already have. PEACE!
  7. Had this thing since new in 78 or 79. Been out in my storage building for 12 years and buried in my garage/basement for years prior to that. Once I turned 16 and got my car I pulled this out and rode once, I think. Had no idea people were so into old school BMX. I was gonna re-do and give it to my son. Now, I don't think so.
