  1. Hello Larry, I raced for Tom back in 1979-80. Looks like we may have missed each other as teammates. I rode for Tom when he still had the black lettered yellow and red jerseys. I think you rode for him when the red jerseys with the white lettering came out. Anyhow here is the pic of the bike that I put together. Enjoy.
  2. I just picked up a factory team 24 cruiser with oversized tubing and built in seat clamp kind of like what you would see on a JMC. Serial #009. It also has a 4 inch headtube. I will post pictures soon. Only given to factory team riders back in the day.
  3. Where did you find that frame? I think only a handful where made but where never sold to the public. Did you get it from a team rider? If so, who was it?
  4. Ya, I barely remember the bars. Since I was only 11 I used expert GT bars. The bigger guys where given that bar but I dont really remember much about them only that Tom would always say they are "cool as $hit"!
  5. Eric Pearson raced 14x back in '81. Tom Howards bike shop was called "Howards Sport Cyclery". Most of the team bikes where decked out with shimano DX gold components>
  6. The frame was made for Tom Howard (massive chain smoker) who owned a bike shop in Glendale, Ca. It was on glenoaks blvd near sonora ave. He was a dealer for Raleigh. When he made a bike shop team he decided to make frames for the team. I am not sure who actually built the frames because I was only 11 yrs old at the time. I was part of the bike shop team and I also received one of the frames. Once I left bmx I got rid of my bmx stuff. That frame brings back alot of memories for me. I think I still have my original jersey at my parents house. Tom later sold the bike shop to some guy named McCauley and then the shop moved to Burbank, Ca. If you want to sell the frame and fork I would be glad to buy it from you since it has alot of history with me. I think that frame belonged one of the riders on the team named Eric Pearson who lived about 3 house down from me. LMK if you want to sell. Thanks.
  7. I grew up on the border of Burbank in Glendale. I seem to recall that spot "Lucky Busters". Was it off of sunset canyon blvd? I remember having to ride past De Bell golf course for about another mile or so before I got to it. If so I went there a few times to ride. Cool spot as I recall.
  8. Prodyne 26 cruiser frame from the wife! Who knew she ws into osbmx!
  9. Dont have a scan at the moment but CBR headtube decal. Seeing the MX tire with the old english font lettering was pretty damn cool. Can someone post a pic of it?
  10. OOOOO, wasnt that a sander production? Also doesnt Sander have the actual die stamp too? hmmmm.
