  1. Any info on the Special Pro versions... were they meant for full size riders, did they have a weight limit?
  2. Thanks! It's the bike that got me into OS BMX back in June '09. Was driving home and spotted it in a yard next to a big "FREE" sign. I said, "Was that a Redline?" and my daughter responded, "What's a Redline?". Quickly circled the block to go back and get it. The day I found it, I started looking online for info on old school BMX. One of my first purchases was a set of replacement decals so I could get the frame/fork powdercoated. Thankfully I decided early on that I preferred survivor bikes over restorations!
  3. A couple of mine Don't know who this belongs to, but I like it. Pic taken a few years ago at Rockford.
  4. '96 Hyper Metro I found NOS at a local shop a couple years ago. Nice quality frame/fork with mostly cheap or generic parts. 1 1/8 threadless, but no cantis (although it does have drilled seat mast/slotted chainstay bridge for mounting Pitbull caliper)
  5. Had planned on entering this in BOTY, but couldn't quite decide what class to enter in so I thought I would just share it here instead. Some of you may have seen this on Ebay awhile back... listing claimed it was a storage locker find. I replaced the chain and back tire, the seat was broken, so I replaced it with an identical one I had, and I relaced the back wheel to the SR hub included with the bike (to match the front). Bike came with a Takagi OPC, but I had this Thun OPC and I think it looks right at home on this bike. All other parts were on bike when I received it. Not sure on year, guessing '88 or '89.
  6. Nice little survivor... I meant to bid, but forgot all about it. Thought it went for a pretty reasonable price. My link
  7. My '79 Redline Proline. This bike was a freebie/curb find that got me into OS BMX a couple of years ago. One of the first things I bought was a replacement set of decals for when I had it refinished. But after lurking on this site and others, I decided I prefered bikes with original finish. Proud to say I haven't refinished any bikes/parts yet. (Although I have replaced some decals on a couple of my bikes which I kind of regret)
