  1. i wish they'd buy my TA tubeset and drill it to bits !! (the only purchase i have bad memories off).
  2. They could catch on ? i reckon anyone that likes tuffs, like the original campy look, twined with new school grafs these look great and i reckon they may be a small market for these ? anyone goona make em ? Snorton , maybe another official os part ?
  3. i'd be happy to take a loop quad off your hands
  4. cheapest i ever had was a complete pk, ended up costing just $71 by surface mail, which was fine, as also only took about 5 weeks. international shipping is really straightforward as long as it doesnt go wrong and both the buyer and seller make it clear whos risk it is.
  5. nice bike STR, i sold my turbo just 10 days ago to silverstreak, and starting to regret it already. i think they look better restored although have to agree on its nice keeping them original riders, but that finish is too hard to keep looking sharp without either making them trailer queens or keep re-finishing ?? one of my top ten fav bikes !!! :24:
  6. Cheers Scary may well do, i think Dan Silverstreak may want it, i'll know in the next few days. Saw your recent chroming jobs, gonna have to talk to ya about this also.
  7. I Got the turbo in the end, it arrived just yesterday , as had a bit of a holiday between getting re posted to me. the frameset is great, espcially as the serial number seems quite special ? its 3x00004 (*the baseball) cranks will be ok after a small amount of re-work. not sure what to do with it now as i've bought a few too many bikes recently ? i'm starting to run out of space (and money)
  8. wow ! they look great ! good job scary, should be a decent turbo when done. :24:
  9. cheers Guys the colour actually looks original, it really doesnt appear to have been repainted afterwards, It has a couple of nicks from 20 years of careful use, but also took a bit of effort to get off the bike, which helps me to believe its an old stem (probably been on the bike for 12-15 years + ) Getting back to the color , did Hutch make them in black or where they just polished ? O the eBay thing, I dont like the way eBay is going, if you have to do private auctions its part of the whole collecting thing to trace and find out who outbids ya, but i agree it may be best to do it that way in the future. thanks again for the replies, :18:
  10. i might be selling my turbo frameset, i'll have a think and let you know, what condition / budget were you aiming for ?
  11. My Hutch Stem ended yesterday and to avoid any problems, could anyone confirm if this one looks genuine. The bike it came off , came from parts built up in the early 90's and i met and chatted to the original owner which helps me feel like its a genuine one. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...AMESO%3AIT&rd=1 Now for the bad part, a few people have emailed the bidders on my auction and mentioned it looks wrong and are maybe trying to buy it for themselves at a knock-down price ? (they didnt email me as otherwise i would have pulled the auction) I dont do bad deals as this is too smaller community to muck around in and i like to sleep at night. Ideally any Hutch fans out there could both value the stem for me and try and help ensure its a genuine one it would help us hugely. I'm gonna give the winning bidder all the time we need to guarantee is a good stem, and until then its obviously on hold. Thanks for looking and reading. :18:
  12. Pat, i always use USPS and to make it a little cheaper have it surface mail on the larger items. I always have it insured for x amount and that way i also get a tracking number. This is normally the cheapest cost for most items. The only way i reckon you will beat this is if you have an account ( or can get some-one with an account) who get discounts through a carrier, they normally all offer this to their prefered customers, so you may get lucky. Hope this helps. shinburger, your right on worrying about the items, thats the only bad part about waiting for stuff, whether buying or sending, until it arrives safe its on my mind.
  13. anyway Good Luck again with the weekend and hope its a proper Road Block !!
  14. i dont think its the actual Oil companies, (although i reckon they also try to milk the system) i actually think it may be the huge amount of tax we pay on our U.K petrol, and also the actual users (us all) just keep buying the stuff driving up the stuff. If i had as many oil stocks as bike bits i'd be happy !!
  15. $3 bucks for petrol, Thats Cheap, we're paying 90pence a litre, = nearly $8 a gallon, and i think it gonna start to hurt !! i reckon thats why bikes are so expensive , everyone is gonna start riding again.
