  1. I recall back in the mid-80's (likely 85 or 86) when Jose and our trick team - Bare Cover trick team used to do shows in the Phoenix area. He would first do back flips on his bike and later in the show do them on roller blades. As Woody says, he was alot of fun to hang out with and was way ahead of his time. I wonder what freestyle would be like if everyone started doing back flips after he started it all? What would we be doing now? Jose Rocked! Ciao!
  2. True I do love my bike, but with that said it cost me about a grand to put together when it was all said and done, so you metioned $, so the SE Quad that Steve posted up would probably be an Excellent lower priced option Thanks. Will the weight of the SE be an issue (29.5lbs. w/o pegs)? Also, the site states its suggested height capacity is for riders up to 5'10" for the pro and the std up to 5'3". I'm 5'10" - is this a problem? Anyways, I thought I would bring it up. Thanks for the continued help.
  3. Thanks. I went and checked out the Plegs and those are sweet. Great idea! Cheap as well.
  4. Thanks all. I'll take a look at the bikes you suggested.
  5. Hey all, I am looking to obtain some advise on what bike and components to purchase to get back into the freestyle sport on a fun basis only. I used to ride 20 years ago and plan on starting again once I have all the gear inclusive of the bike. It is not really necessary to have the best available for one best is too subjective and two I don't have an extra $1000 laying around. The bike needs to be capable of riding both park/ ramps as well as flatland (no grinding - not my thing!). So front brakes and gyro/ rotor is necessary as well as pegs. Internal headset or integrated - not sure the difference to be honest disimilar in context? So if anyone would like to share what expertise you may have it would be appreciated. Oh and by the way I live in Oregon, so I have time to build the bike. On the other hand I am high pumped/ excited to start riding - so I may just go to wal-mart and buy a cheapie for now. Just kidding - hmmm! Oh I'm not looking for an old school bike - new technologies please. Also, any help with the lingo of the new technologies would be very helpful. Thanks Regards,
