  1. freestyle, race, whatever..... sometimes its good for the sections to inter-mingle, there is alot of info on both sides. anyone else? This is my first build! I live in St. Louis and Matt Guinn is a friend of mine. I built this as a tribute to Bobby Encinas. I purchased the frame with the sticker set on it. I tried to find as many Shimano parts as I could afford. I used Bullseye cranks because Matt said Bobby was sponsered by them. The tires are the only things that are not old school. I liked the blue skinwall. The bars are SE power bars and are 29 1/2 wide and the grips are NOS Oakley f1's. I'm building a GT that I can ride and I tell Matt that my Mongooose is a Carpet Queen and He calls me a Poser. I really enjoy seeing all the old school build and now I know the the effort it takes to put one together. I hope to make it to Chula Vista and get a chance to see all the Hall of famers.
  2. I'm new to OS BMX and spoke with Marvin Church recently about my first build. I had help from my friend Matt Guinn about picking some of the components. I never raced a bike in my life, but Matt always had good things to say about all the friends he made back in the day, especially Bobby. I spent a little time and money to build a something that reflects the history of BMX, so when I get the chance to show it I hope people can appreciate it. Let me know what you think? Matt would call me a Poser! I know it will never see a track, but I built it so it wouldn't break. Thanks , Dan
