LRV Survivor

12 May 2018 - 03:24 AM

They're still out there. LRV. Probably 1977'ish. I had to swap the seat and pedals, and somehow didn't have Ourys to use. This needs a Brian Hays elbow grease workover still, he kills it with his finish clean up. But, pretty stoked. Original owner bike from Ohio. Original finishes.

Early MCS stem. 25" wide Redline bars. It came with a 7b rear/Tuff front, but I swapped to a Tuffwheel set.

Anyone ever seen Ourys packaged like this?

CBL Cindy Plate

31 October 2015 - 08:54 PM

Clearly CBL anything is out of my wheelhouse. But, Cindy has always been a favorite, so when I saw these existed, they almost became "had to have" items.

Recently was able to pick up my second, Cindy in red. Just thought it was worth getting a picture over here. If anyone knows why packaging would be different, or one plate is drilled for zip ties, and the other has riveted velcro, let's hear it.

KKT K-MX pedal set for parts (1/2").

15 May 2015 - 01:18 AM

$25 shipped. This is a mostly complete pedal set (minus reflectors), but, the bodies are a bit messed up - see the pics. So, let's just call this a spindle set. Spindles, cones, washer, lock washer, pedal caps and bodies.

But they are 1/2" spindles and would be what you'd be looking for to convert the plentiful 9/16's over for your one piece cranks.

I can probably find you the old nasty bearings, and if needed, I might have the cap screws, but, don't count on it.

How do you fit 6 pairs of wheels in a 30"x30" space?

06 May 2015 - 06:32 AM

With my wheel fascination/fetish in full swing, I found I was just not happy with the storage solution I had. Basically 10 foot bars suspended on hooks near the end. If I needed a set in the middle out, it sucked to pull it down.

So, I came up with a compact solution. About $10 in parts per rack. Still adjusting a bit, 2 racks built and one or two more to build still.

Before - just a long bar.

After. That's a 30x30" space that can hold 6 sets and any set is easily accessible.
