  1. Recognized Rockford BMX, and the Elkorn indoor track- which I haven't seen in 20 years, glad they got rid of the wooden jumps. Very cool!
  2. I'm seeing $279.99 for the frame + $80 for the fork. Are you saying you sell both for $279?
  3. I'm planning on just buying the frame/fork, and building the bike to my specs from there. Why are there different frames if you buy a complete bike? How do you know which one you're getting if you order one? Any idea what the XXL 20" frames/forks cost? Thanks, BTW, you're bikes are sweet. Those cranks are really cool, and not cheap from what I've seen. What length are they? I'll probably go with Profiles. Also, I noticed you aren't using clips on your pedals. I thought that's what all the racers were doing now. I'm unsure about them myself.
  4. Spoken like you work for Greg. You aren't in marketing by any chance are you??? ;) It so happens that the ABA midwest nationals are held about 5 miles from my house, so I WILL be there. But I plan to be up and riding before that, which means I need to get a bike together.
  5. I see some of you are riding the new GHP's. I'm looking to put a new bike together to race next spring. I'm checking out the new manufacturers, but it's hard to pass up on a frame and fork designed by Greg Hill. He was a legend when I was 14. Also it's easy to stick with names that I recognize. I recognize GHP, and GT, and SE. There are a lot of new brands I simply know nothing about. Anyone have any experiences wth GHP they'd like to share? Are they made in the USA? I'm almost 6'2. Do any taller riders have a GHP? Thanks.
  6. I've read a bit about bikes with "new school" or "old school" geometry. Can someone help me understand how new bikes differ from the old bikes of the early 80's? Thanks
  7. Something about tuffs on SE bikes just looks really cool. Have you ever thought throwing some graphites on that quad?
  8. What a really cool sentiment. I don't really expect to win. But it would be really nice to make the guy in front of me have to work his ass off to stay there. what would I do with another trophy anyway? Aside from the fun of doing it with my son, it is an opportunity for me to get a good workout, and revisit a special part of my youth. I've switched my workouts to interval training on the Precor bikes at the local YMCA. I never used to ride those things. Now it's all I do. I think I'm getting some good results.
  9. Wow, these are impressive bikes. Those DXR cranks and DX pedals are really cool. I checked the prices, and they're pretty expensive. I'm trying to put together a mental list of cool parts to build my new racing bike for next spring. I really like the styling on the Team PK Ripper. What are the hot new school brands and parts?
  10. Dude, where'd you get the Kegel's pads? That's my hometown bike store!
  11. I believe statistically maybe 5 people out of 100 can lose weight and keep it off. what this guy has done is nothing short of amazing. Not sure what your embed code is for Youtube on this BB
  12. The only "Winner Take All" I could find was an MX movie from '87. Sure you've got the right one? I'm glad I'm not the only one who remembers seeing it. Let me know if you ever find it.
  13. Okay, this thread jogs my memory. Right around 1980 I remember watching what must have been an After School Special or something that was a BMX movie. I cannot remember the name. What I do remember is that the main character, I think, was Hispanic and kinda poor. He wanted to buy a bike to race with (I wanna say it was a Cycle Pro, but I'm not sure). There was another kid who had a nice bike, was the best racer, and picked on the the main character. As I recall, his dad was mean to him, so he was mean to other kids. So the main character never could afford to have a decent bike, but instead his Dad had good welding skills and help him turn his bike into something he could race with. The BIG race goes on, and I believe the poor kid ends up winning. I'd love to know what the name of this was if anybody else happened to see it. I remember it actually having a decent message and being pretty good.
  14. Alright what do you want for it????? PM Sent Okay, I'm getting the impression from the forumites here that CyRay is possibly a troll. I don't know. First of all, I didn't actually come to this website to hock my old bike stuff. I came here to learn and find other people around my age who are still active in BMX. That being said, I'm not necessarily opposed to selling my old Rebel. I'm certainly never going to use it. But since I'm new to ancient BMX gear as prized collectibles I really have no idea what the value of this frame is, or how to discover it's value. Anyone what to tell me what it's worth?
