So I'm gonna be selling some stuff in a week or two and I'm trying to ID some stuff. I have two sets of bars that are almost identical. This guy on ebay said this to someone on some similar bars he was selling: Q: are you sure these are not haro bars? Sep-13-08 A: Yes I am sure! THESE ARE GT bars! There is a little difference between the two on the the top tube marking design! Haro has the lines that go straight across & GT has the lines criss-crossed Again I am absolutely positive about this! Bid with confidence,There GT! Thanks & good luck Which I found a little strange because the bars I have with haro grips has knurled and the bars that came on this GT I picked up have straight lines. So which is it??

Don't pick on the new guy with those things man!! If you buy those pedals your butt will be the only thing getting Thrusted!! So what did thruster all make? Frame, fork, and bars? I'm talking about thruster branded stuff, don't get all technical with me and say hutches or something OT. I take it thruster pedals are like brakes for an '83 vette, or a radiator for a '63 vw beetle, or a muffler bearing?

By the way, here is what came on the DeCoster. Anything any good? It came with a knock-off brake I won't even bother posting. The stem looks redline but isn't stamped redline anywhere, just says taiwan so I don't know about that. Sumo rims with il Jou Yu hubs? stamped 1985. Bars have decent welding, might be nice, and the seatpost is hacksawed. I don't get it, why would a high end race bike like that have such crap parts. Edit, I just posted my bikes on the museum if anyone cares to look, http://bmxmuseum.com/user/Pakron1122

I dunno how original it is. It is MOSTLY original. What about those pedals? Primo something, look mid school. What about that seatpost? Looks like a mid school GT sticker. What about those brakes? Dia compe 1020s and 901s. Cable says '85. Wrong year stuff. Plus, I think this bike was only sold as a f&f, so what is the difference if you upgrade a few parts with era correct upgrades? If it was a survivor GT, kuwahara, something like that where it was sold as a complete bike, totally different story and I would agree with you 100%. And please don't assume that because I am new and yes, younger than most here (29) that I am part of a certain group. I am a huge proponent of keeping things all original and when I see stuff powdercoated it makes me want to cry. The only time something should be refinished is if it has been rewelded. My thruster vanishing point has stickers that are peeling and stuff, but I would never replace them. Same with my 84 californian. Even though I rode in the early 90's, in my group, the hutches and the jmcs were THE bikes and you did not see them very often. You would know someones older brothers friend who had a supergoose in his garage, and it was like, wowww. You know, that kinda stuff. I have always been drawn to the old stuff. It is talk like this that makes me feel unwelcome in this forum.
