Relax, Shad's point is that the parks in that area aren't patrolled by grown men being paid to be your nagging mom in a public park. If there's no enforcer for helmets and cups on the public baseball field where a ball is hauling ass at your head, then you shouldn't have to wear pads at the public skatepark... principle of universality. Disagreeing with that just justifies the idea that parks are too dangerous and cities should continue to be weary of building them in every neighborhood.
