  1. Tom, Your photos are of Midwestern Raceway! The track was operated by the Richardson family. Tim Richardson was possibly the second Mongoose Factory rider to hail from the midwest. Of course Cash was the first! These are the first shots I've seen of that track in 30-31 years! Our Nebraska crew raced there many times from 1976-1978. My first race there would have been in early 1977. We would often make the 6 hour drive from Omaha, or the 5 hour drive from Lincoln - many times driving all night and racing on no sleep! The striped shirt riders! One in particular was Mark Moody. He would have been in the old guy class...you know 15 & over or 16 & over LOL! I raced Mark and he was a powerful rider. Another guy I raced there was Steve Pascal, older brother to Brian Pascal. Brian went on to ride for SE and had an awesome Pro BMX career in the 80's. Brian and Matt Sullivan still race BMX, and I competed with them in 36-40 Cruiser from 2001-2003. They are both still fast has hell. Between the two of them, they stacked up a ton of Cruiser wins later in life. I have great memories of the Nebraskans and the Kansans hanging out in Wichita.
