  1. Frank Calliendo was on Mike & Mike in the morning yesterday on ESPN radio, did a whole Jim Rome skit and it was classic. They were replaying it on ESPNEWS last night.
  2. I have to focus on being a better person, so stuff like that doesn't happen.
  3. I work in an automotive engine spring manufacturing facility, we heat treat the springs several times during the process. The operators constantly monitor the heat treat ovens and if there are any problems the product is either scrapped or put back thru the process. One process is critical and we will scrap tens of thousands at a time if something goes wrong. It's all about QC.
  4. JC cranks are 48 spline compatible, I am using a profile spindle on my stroker cranks.
  5. The Dia-Compe brakes that were mentioned are V-brakes with the MX logo and shaped kinda like a Dia Compe. They are not repros of MX1000s. There is a thread on Vintage and the guy who designed them gave the drawings to JDB to make them for him in exchange for the rights to the drawings.
  6. When my frame showed up, it was in a huge box, and I do mean huge, and was loose, bouncing around. That was Fedex's re-box attempt, I opened it on the porch and made the driver stick around to see if it was damaged. Pretty piss poor.
  7. It sits about the same as the PK did, so it should be about 21.5. I will measure.
  8. Rides like a dream, and as far as I know there won't be any more cro-mo frames, only aluminum.
  9. Just got this together tonite, let the high seatpost bashing begin. This is the first Rebel Racing frame sold to the public, thanks John. Scored some 1st generation OG decals from greyboy.
  10. When the box showed up it only had my address on it, since fedex reboxed it. I don't have any info for you, sorry.
  11. I've had a few O.S. bikes over the past few years, I just can't ride them. I am too big and they are too small. I had a Patterson PR a few years ago with Profile box cranks, Hutch pedals and hubs, etc., took it to the skatepark and rode it as well as around the neighborhood, it was just too small. These retros are just right for me, and I try to make them as O.S. looking as I can. I really tried to nail it on this one, that's why I bought the Oakleys and went with Dia-Compe brakes, the powerlite knock off bars, etc. I'll build another old bike as soon as I find what I want, and my next retro will be a Patterson. That's already in the works.
