  1. This bike has come a long way since I first got it. It sits more that it rides, but I actually enjoy riding it for it's lightweight and fast. I decided to keep the stem it came with and don't plan on making it a Team Model anymore either. I prefer to keep this one original. I even found a set of NOS IRC BMX Racer Z-III tires to replace the ones it had when I got it. I added a Haro plate to the bars and called it a day. Aleks
  2. +1 They almost look like the chrome was stripped off. Sux about that collar.
  3. The 1st Gen Superlace hubs are going for more than they did last year. The average nowadays for a descent set is between $150 - $200. On the low flange sets, I've been seeing them go for around $80 or so.
  4. Here are some more pics of early and later superlace and racelace hubs. Some of the things I've noticed between the two are the grooves along the center area, the slope, as already mentioned, the decal design and the axles and hardware. Also, the first ones came with sealed bearings and later had loose ball bearings. Could those have been the 3rd Gen? Although the newer sealed bearing hubs can have the hardware swapped for the hollow axles and collars, the main thing to look for to distinguish the 1st gen from the rest is by the center area. 1st Gen Hubs 2nd/3rd Gen Hubs Decal Design - Notice the two with the older GT logo; one has 4 blue and 4 yellow stripes while the other has 6 blue and 6 yellow stripes. Axle Differences 1st Gen Hollow Axles 2nd Gen Hollow Axles Solid Axle (3rd Gen?)
  5. That was a blast!! My first time on a track and I loved it! My legs hated it, but I might have to go back and do it again. Thanks G, for making this happen and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! My son had a great time as well and now wants to do this again. Aleks
  6. WOW!! The video came out awesome! Nice shot of me wiping out Aleks
  7. Huge thanks to all who were involved, no matter how small. It was every helping hand that made the event the success that it was. I had a blast meeting some legends that I never thought I'd get to meet in person. So many cool bikes and all the people were having a great time. What more could one ask for? Also, big THANKS to the park officials for letting us use their facility and making our stay a memorable one. Everything seemed to go so smooth and no one was haggled by rangers. Perfect! Aleks
  8. Nice write up, Brian! It was a pleasure meeting you and hanging out at the Pipeline. You guys are a bunch of down to earth and funny guys. Hope to do it again next year. Here are a few more pics from the Pipeline to add to yours. Aleks
  9. This event was by far the best one for me! I had a good time hanging out with everyone and meeting some new people. The show seemed to have gone very smooth. Thanks Steve Bros. and everyone else who was involved in putting this event together! Can't wait for next year. Aleks
  10. Here are a couple I built, but have since sold. Aleks
