I was wondering if anyone could tell me if araya ( araya hoops on bike ) made their own hubs. the rear is a coastie ( shimano ), but the front hub has no markings whatsoever. -

There is some rust where the paint has peeled, but i cant bring myself to re-finish it in fresh powder. -

My uncle said he wanted to get it re-powdered if he could find the frame stickers, but i told him its a survivor and we should leave it that way. -

So i went to nevada to see some family, mom had been in and out of the hospital over the last couple of months but is doing fine now. went to see my uncle as he lives around the corner from the folks, and we get to talking and he unloads these on me as we are talking he says he has more (various) and needs to find them. as were hanging shootin the "S" he asks if i wanted this This was my grandmothers bike, it was given to her by John Bassett for her birthday, it was ridden only a hand full of times by grams and has been sitting in my uncles garage since she passed 5 yrs. ago. This remains ALL original down to the inner-tubes.

Dr.know, Did the Free Flite decals say Free Flight? And If you have a free flight, by all means Jack away. That would be my Holiest of holy grails. But I'll never be able to afford one. From what i've seen they are similar to what you have showing in the first post. just trying to locate some period correct livery to get my re-do up to speed. -

They do have a track here in colorado springs, it is somewhat similar in design(split). If it stops snowing tomorrow i'll go get some pics. to post.

The gussets were added 'cause of the tubing wall is so thin(.082 i believe) these were never production pieces.
