they look like steel stampings that were used to indicate inspection sometimes, I found several that were pretty close to this one here but it's hard to see for sure because of the low resolution. Also, I'd imagine some symbols may be put out of use or altered slightly in the 20-30 years since some were used. stampings link

Thanks Matt! I didn't think they were but wanted to double check. If they were Schwinn I was gonna pay them forward, since they're not and have a slight gouge where I accidentally drilled into them I'll just stash them away until I need a blunt object for pounding.

Hi, These bars came on a predator, and I was told they were Schwinn bars but I thought the Predator bars had the flattened cross bar. Any ideas? Can anyone confirm Schwinn or just some generic bar? Thanks! -Mark
