  1. I was lucky enough to hang out with Cecil and a guy called Dave Latimer for a few weeks up in Norcal in 1989. We rode, trained, bought take and bake pizzas from some place near where he lived that he swore by. He was an awesome guy and strong as hell. A great rider but a better person.
  2. Here's my floval, and the rest of the family......
  3. I raced for Elf over here in the UK where they had a pretty stacked team. I'm in the White Bel Mag 4 on the end.
  4. Since he has some free time, tell him some US bretheren are very interested in the history of MRD. A full blown history/collectors guide would be appreciated. I'll ask the big man for you.
  5. Some of you brits might know Tim march quit at Ride mag last week so he's been milling around in my shop this week cobbling togther a Surly fixed (with a sweet Phil Wood hub!). I will defo show him that gay advert! I found the ad the other day with Tim, Frankie Romain and Ant Howells all dreesed up military style, berets and all! Hilarious, i'll get me scanner out!
  6. I think the solid bars are later versions as the drilled versions broke a lot here in the UK, I broke a pair and I was quite young then!!!
  7. Hoger you mentioned the Bercy race in Paris, this is me racing there I guess in 87? For all those non euro riders, this stadium in Paris sold out to 14,000 spectators every year! Sick race!
  8. Thes old helmets are so cool! I just scored myself a pretty tatty but totally restorable Bell BMX3, the BMX version of the Moto3. My winter project is to restore it with an original SE paintjob as the OM used to wear! I'll post pics as she goes but god does it need some work, right now it is just shell and strap and I'm about the grind the rivets off the strap as it's rusty and smelly!
  9. Yeah I got more for you, check this bad boy out! Chris Moellers actual jersey, I got this from him I guess around 1988/89. Was never planning on selling it but I just auctioned it in the UK to raise some funds for a top rider that passed away.
  10. Man, what were those sponsor boards that fitted inside your front triangle that were out in the late eighties? Anyone remember those? I have a picture but need to plug the scanner in!
  11. Ohh you like that eh? Here's the first one shipped to Europe, infamous as it had a missing weld on one of the dropouts (friday afternoon special at Cook Bros)? This bike belonged to Glen Leyburn from Belfast, Northern Ireland, Glen was one of the original Jive Five for all you real mid schoolers..... This next picture is me on another S&M from a UK magazine (I think I had about 4 S&M's), this was a dirt bike, late eighties/early nineties. Lastly, super rare S&M sticker from my sticker box....
  12. This bikes long gone but this was my Mad Dog, first one in the UK (that's not me on it!) I guess this was around '88? This was a Cook Bros made one.
  13. haha! I was staying with Gork and the wiz pubs guys for a while and they'd just got them in for the awards so i couldn't miss the photo op!
  14. I already posted some of these on another thread but will put a couple up for you Uk style! This is one of the earlist pictures i have of me racing, around '83? and just to keep with the robinson theme, this is me in around 1990. Still got a pair of max gaitors, brand spankers in torker colours!
