  1. Awesome shot. I had 3 pairs of the grey Chucks that I picked-up from a store that was closing them out back-in-the-day. Tore 'em up riding and skating in about 6 months, but man, I still love those shoes.
  2. Wow, Steve. REALLY digging that with the mix of N/S parts. Awesome that you're doing it for charity.
  3. Great thread, here, and nice video, Bert! Here are my two primary rides right now. Sorry about the iPhone pics - only camera I have right now... First up is my 2009 26" Volume Sledgehammer - just took it out this evening. Found a new path at a park nearby, and realized the tires might just need a wee bit more tread. Just got it a couple weeks back, and added S&M cruiser slams and Fly Ruben grips. Very happy with it so far. My current 20" is a '06-ish (guess I should ask Phil himself) FBM PWMoto. 20.75TT, euro BB, integrated H/S. Built it on the cheap, but love throwing it around. So solid.
  4. Soo nice. Really dig how that came together. Brian, you're right, Scott was an inspiration to a number of us, especially in the early years of Freestylin'.
  5. Such a rad thread. I'll dig through and see what I can add as well - keep this thread alive.
  6. Wow, so very nice. My first (only) Trickstar was that color. It is my fave of the rainbow of Hutch colors. I remember the shop I got it at (BMX Pros in Kansas City), had nearly all of the colors of the Trickstar, Judge and Hollywood.
  7. Very cool, Matt. Dennis is such a good guy, and it is very cool to see this come back around from your original story about this encounter.
  8. I'm in for a black 2xl. Note that American Apparel seem to run just a slight bit more fitted than other Ts. Let us know when they're ready. Thanks!
  9. I'm glad you like these, fellas. I've had a good time digging these things out - put me through about 2 years of BMXAs and Plus! as well.
  10. Hey, there. I wanted to let you guys know about a feature that I've been planning over the past few weeks on BMXRoots. I scanned a bunch of Bob Haro's illustrations and I'll be putting them up every day of this week. Most of this stuff has been posted on a few of the bmx sites, but I thought the timing was appropriate with Haro popping up lately in so many places with the olympics, art shows and what-not. Also, I wanted them to be on one site that the public can get to easily. I hope you enjoy them. Oh, and be sure to hit the link about the Lightning Bolts show in Portland from this weekend. It looks like a good time was had... Here's the first, and the others will be posted on the homepage: http://bmxroots.com/?p=237
  11. Props, indeed, Steve. It is a great site, and definitely a strong community. ;-) Paid for my premiere membership on Tuesday. Got the T-shirt in the mail today. Wow. Great service as well.
  12. Cool to see this old thread brought back - thanks, Mr. Robot. Here's a cool/inexpensive light-box idea, especially handy for parts: http://thadallender.com/2008/02/12/do-it-yourself-lightbox/ Courtesy of Thad Allender - great shooter and rider. Look through his photos - you might recognize some folks. ;-)
  13. maybe not an "official" sponsor... parts, clothing, etc... "Pro Flow"? ;-)
  14. estados - DMC rides for Vans, Brigade and Skatelite, though I think he reps for Animal as well. He rides an FBM PWMoto frame, but hasn't had an "official" frame sponsor for a few years.
  15. Apologies, "Brother"s. Thanks for the correx. For some reason, I got it Scott stuck in my head...
