  1. All of my Sal 26" Customs have NOTHING to do with VPR. My pit is the only one that unfortunately went through his crooked hands. I dig the Gold Widomaker sprocket on STARTAC's Red one! Would love to Gold Anodize my Widowmaker Sprocket for my nect project gold but my local anodizer is a curmudgeon... Sean are you sure they were 28"??? 29? and had clearance. Under 20# is AWESOME! Sean, wait till you see your LG from years ago on my new project, not SE, but the LG are Yellow now... The Custom Cliff bike I have been working on having built for 3+ years... I LOVE my OM RIPPER as I call it because it reminds me more of a Ripper no integrated seatclamp and based on the OM and I used it to "Rip" the OM class of 26-40 year olds "when we had a track 79-06 R.I.P". Hopefully Austin will have a track again soon If not cruiser shows and kegs, to be sure...
  2. This is one of my (3) Race Bikes! Very Stiff and Light! Build has changed a little since but still mostly Atomic/AtomLab and Profile parts... Other Components: Atomic Lever, Shimano XTR Brakes, Chris King HS, Redline 4.5" Forklifter Bars, Salsa Seatclamp, Kenda K-Rad Tires, SDG Seat, Lizard Skin Moab MTB grips, OS SE Camo Pad and customs for stem and hbar from Camo Neoprene Wader material. Added Gold CK Headset and Gold Profile Imperial Sprocket. Other is a 26 Sal Quad that I hand polished for almost 17 hours. Then My Sal made Firemans Texas Cruzer in RAW Clearcoat! Cheers, Cliff
  3. HELL of a GOOD Story with a Happy Ending!!! Been better had it not been so thrashed. But reunited! My eye's would have been glowing and spoke volumes. We hang bike thieves in Texas! I have not given up on my Tan 26" Non Stamped Landing Gear that dissapeared (Yeah Right!) from Factory Alliant & Mike Devitt in 2002-2003? easily recognized even if repainted by Three hole Dropouts and canti mounts. I have had a REWARD $$$ on them for years. Pictures on 26BMX.com I am PLEASED for you!!! Cheers, Cliff
  4. Mine new peeve is the new eBay policy of not disclosing bidders identitys. They could have found better ways to discourage sellers making direct offers. It makes it harder to spot the Shill Bidding and more appealing to try it... I had it happen to me recently and the guy ended up relisting, and brought over $400 less. Sheez
  5. Sent: Saturday, June 09, 2007 10:54 AM To: 'info@tiogausa.com' Subject: COMP III 25th ANNIVERSARY Hi Tioga, I just saw COMP III 25th ANNIVERSARY!!! New Tires! I looked at the specs on http://www.tiogausa.com/international/bmx-...iiiclassic.html You used to make a COMP III Tire in 26" for the BMX Cruisers in the late 70's-80's. Not sure when you quit making it as Mitsubishi in several "label" like Silver Star Green/Yellow etc, do you? The 26" cruiser is making quite a comeback. I have a website dedicated to it 26BMX.com While I am not sure of any demographics that would indicate a market share to support production of the 26" COMP II again, I wish I could demonstrate numbers to justify production. Kenda is the only one making anything close to catering to the 26" BMX in the K-Rad in a 26x1.95 and the blue tires tires they are using on the stock SE Racing OM Flyer bike which I believe is a Wide Track in BLUE with a tan (Gum/Skin) wall traditional fat/skinny combo 26x1.75 and 26.2.125. The Vintage COMP III's go for well over a hundred a piece as singles while a matched pair may bring $300 in black. Colored versions are substantially less. I believe you have been approached by at least two parties interested in reviving this size COMP III tire in the last 2 years. I am wondering if you have any plans to offer this tire again, even in "MAYBE" a Limited Production. You have the molds ;) Thanks for offering Great Products! Any info would be appreciated! I will keep my fingers crossed this letter finds it's way to the right person and "MAYBE" a Limited Production COMP III in 26x1.75 might happen!!! Have a Great Day! Thanks, Cliff 26BMX.com Reviving the Forgotten 26" Original Cruiser Class 26BMX.com Streaming 26" BMX Race VIDEO's!!!
  6. Geez they have the molds - won't someone give the Twenty Six Inchers a Break ;) We need Rubbers II ...
  7. Or Original Decals and CW Forks ;) WOW!!!
  8. NICEST PRODYNE I have EVER SEEN!!! Bar None!!! Look like Torker forks, or else Powerlite, nice touch. Complete with Prodyne bars? UNREAL NICE!!! Minty Prodyne Decal !!! that's a score! I could use one of those.
  9. OMG PJ that SIG CRACKS ME UP! It gives me hope too that I might be on the right path of lifes journey ROFL!!! Is that an original? All my broken bones and things that don't work right, that can predict the weather, feel like they are on course after reading that. But we have no BMX track for now after 26 years to continue the journey, temporarily I hope. I found some dirt jump trails this old bmxer is thinking about giving a spin, but they make a track look tame. I digress and not to hijack the thread. Carry on! Hoodward sure looks like a place that life journey could be be experienced :LMAO:
  10. That IS Good News! God Bless You OM and your Family! I just saw the locked thread over yonder under "Good news for OM - needs help". which was posted Sat. Hey, I spend more time here, what can I say. It feels more like home. I would have said these same things to my Best Friend; AND I HAVE, he has had very similar struggles these last 3 years. You can't help someone that does not want help that's one tough pain to deal with. Stand ready for when and if they do. They both have a good heart. Thanks to those that helped! Scammers were to be expected. You guy's know who they are and am sure will let the community know if/when they try anything around here. Probably no point in building them a wall of shame and posting their names to it. They have to live with it and what comes around... Instant Karma. That sucks you guy's had to deal with that and sort through that shady piece. I am most certainly NOT pointing fingers at anyone helping; just stating that the policy early on, did not work as planned, and needed revising. It's only right. I know there are some folks yet to come forward but that's there business. Others may not even know. I am sure OM does, he has an incredible indelible memory. I probably would not have said anything if there was not a offer because I knew what was going on and had compassion. Since there was a offer I took it as sincere and not just a ploy to garner support during the precedings. I believed it to be part of recovery and very encouraging and wanted to see it come to fruition. It was no easy task for those that put their name on the line to help; but noble. Sounds like Scot is going to be Very Busy getting things Flying Right AND creating a program trying to help others. I Wish You All My Best! I am sure Scot will be in touch Cliff
  11. I agree with several of the sentiments above including the above quote! I DO NOT Agree with telling people, especially when you are not on the short end of the stick, what those that are should feel or do! This all sounded fine a good at first. But there are people that still have not received any or all of what they paid for. The communication lines are drying up again. If these goods are possibly in a warehouse someone should get access and look for them ASAP. Get this concluded... I see all the auctions over the last several weeks on Scot's behalf for his legal fund and have even bid & bought some. My spirit of support increased when it looked like things were going to be made right. It has diminished as I see this unfinished biz not getting finished and these auctions bringing in funds that should go to finishing that biz first. I also see the people selling some of there cherished SE stuff because they got burned. I have mixed feelings about this. If that's the way you feel I do understand, I am sure others have had similar passing thoughts; but somebody will be glad to have it. Side Note: I would hope no more mentions of 3rd Excuse in this thread. How 3E handled things after problems with people WERE different, and mean spirited and defamatory in retalition, and some caused problems besides the transactions with him. This is liable hijack this thread by opening that can of worms. There should be no comparisons, and any other mention of 3E should be in a seperate thread IMO. I feel very strongly about this. Bottom Line: The proceeds from these auctions IMO should FIRST go for restitution of people in the BMX Community that paid for items still outstanding. This will go alot further in more people mind's to foster goodwill, respect, care & support of all kinds. I personally can't justify supporting anymore auctions to support a legal fund when there are members of this community, including me, that deserve things to be made right before we climb on board with support. Well see how much I can resist. You have to earn back respect and trust. This started in the right direction - I hope it continues. Get the people what they paid for or refund the money that is due out of the auction proceeds FIRST that is what's right. Cliff
  12. Thanks Sean! I got ONE THIRD of the items I paid for, Sean is looking for the rest. I propose that the least we can do is PayPal Sean back the postage he is shelling out. Sean send me your PayPal address so I can send you some cash back. OM God Bless! This is the right track - wishing you Good Karma in return!!! I pray for treatment not the joint. I miss our conversations!
  13. Here is one from BITD circa 80'... :18: Awards Banquet for ABA Top 50 for 1979 TX-04.
  14. Hey Kevin, Cliff Edwards shoutin a Big Hello! :14: I asked about you at the CCBMX I was trying to put together a Old School Reunion this year that never happened from the guys I rode with from 77'-83'. I think it was Rick Graves, the current Track Operator at Capital City, that said you been down a couple times in the last few years? I have talked with Shane Hill, Billy Patterson, Jerry Patterson, Keith Wimbish, Billy Bryson still races so does Garreth Nicely, and Randy Neiman came out and raced the 26" OM Classic. (I did not get to race it cause I was still in casts, LOL, from crashing in the July Supernat's mains.) Wish I still had the Pro Hutch I got from you! I hung onto it for a long time... Welcome! & if you ever get down Austin way give me a shout! Take Care Sheepdog! Cliff
