do not try this!!!!! this is extremely dangerous and when you are done where are you supposed to dispose of the byproduct? our plater here in ohio will strip parts for practically nothing. i had a couple hubs, a hutch seat clamp and a chainring stripped for 12 bucks. same acid they use to clean mason work ? and the only bad thing is the flakes ! the vapors are dangerous but if you have some wits to your self you can do it!

i have a annodizing shop and we call it frying the chrome off i use my plater but you can use a battery charger and muriatic acid 1 cup with 3 gallon of water in a plastic bucket NOTE ALWAYS ADD ACID TO WATER NEVER WATER TO ACID !! hang some striped copper # 12 or biger wires around the rim of bucket 2 or 3 connect to neg and on the work peace connect coverd wire postive tight connection a must!! make shure they do not touch on the work peace or wires !! lower it in and in a few minutes or seconds depending on how thick the chrome is it will fry off and curl up and it will let off fumes bad ones do not smoke !! do it outside mix up a soda bath for your parts to de acid them and wash with soap wear gloves and glasses i hope this helps if you want to do it your self but becarefull wear gloves and glasses it is acid and fumes are comming off this and the stuff left has chromate's mel

here is 1 month of trash digin in wpb! i will fix and sell the parts to the locals and latino that ride bikes every were . i will save it all and put it in a money market acount and hope and wait till i see the bike i need this same kind of piles got me a redline just like stu rode and a race inc off ebay. i just cant sell used parts or trade it not right for me i got to see if your happy with it before i take the money or the trade. the thrill of the hunt is great ! the look in their eye when you fix thir bike for a few dollars is better!

hear are my thoughts. scanners will be scanners, that is why you should always check feed backs. i live in an area where there are no swap meet that you can go to and trade. ebay is the main way i have to buy what i need and sell what i don't. there are people out there who sell items higher than MSRP but for me, i stay at MSRP or go lower on my bikes i sell. some people will not even go lower than MSRP. i am not looking for a "HUGH" profit but i do not want to be in the red either. i tried to buy a set of z-rim hoops yesterday and yet the hoops went up over $306. i can't afford that many more then most other old schoolers. we find deals as we can and we make available what we have. what more can you ask. if i have something you need and i can afford to sell it to you for what you want, i will. again, to get items i need i spend many hours hoping for that one item to be available. even if it is through ebay.
