  1. To date, still have no clue as to what this is. Keep hearing that it is a one off frame from back in the day. Strange though, as the more I keep seeing the '74/'75 ish Gary Little John 20s', with their funky rear triangles, I see my frame?!?
  2. So, should I assume this is phony? I am into BMW and was wondering on this. http://www.ebay.com/itm/OLD-SCHOOL-20-24-26-BMX-BROOKLYN-MACHINE-WORKS-STEM-CRUISER-HARO-GT-CW-HUTCH-/300602688497?pt=Cycling_Parts_Accessories&hash=item45fd5103f1
  3. Here is my 26" Mystery Machine all finished. Check out the rear brake setup- no brake hole provision on the frame, nor mounts, so I had to come up with a good idea if I did not want to go coaster.
  4. Joe at BMW is a real cool guy. Had BMW Shinburger pedals rebuilt by them, and all they charged me were the cost of the bearings! Next up in my fleet just may be a BMW Dirtjumper!
  5. I just saw a 20" Huffy BMX, and it has the same closed tubes near the rear dropouts and almost the same brake bridge. I will say Huffy also.
  6. Can anyone ID a 26" fork with this picture of the dropouts? What is this?
  7. Cool- Now I need a set of Vector Cruiser bars! Anyone have some to trade for a set of 20" Vector bars?
  8. 2 days till the GA BMX show. Hopefully, some old school racer will know what this is. Any one else have any ideas?
  9. I am bringing this frame to the ABA Dixieland Nationals April 17th, in Powder Springs, GA (Atlanta) for the Vintage BMX show, if anyone wants to take a crack at naming the manufacturer.
  10. OK, I tried elsewhere, had information, misinformation, information, etc. Long story short, I think I am back to square one with a small lead. Here is what I heard so far: - Frame is a Blacklight (untrue due to Blacklight frame welder said those frames were aluminum, which this isn't) - Ken Burleson of Titan fame, thought this was one of his frames, but then said no, he was mistaken when he saw the actual frame. - Ken said that Dugan Finnell of ESP may know, since he thought ESP commissioned the frames. - Dugan said this was not ordered by him for any customer or racer. - Ken Burleson said this frame may have been welded by Jessie (sp?) Cortez for either Eddie Siegmund or Troy Jensen (Titan, then ESP team. - Ken Burleson said the holes in the gussett are Jessie's trademark, to quickly ID his frames. Does anyone know for sure what this is? It came with a 1" 26" threaded stamped Landing Gear fork and Dura Ace cranks. So it was pretty tricked out for racing. Any connection to Rebel or Blazer BMX? Kinda looks like the Rebel dropouts and rear triangle? It is pretty cool looking, so I will be keeping it, but really want to know the history on it. Here are pics of the frameset:
  11. I would think the Sting long steer is the King Sting fork?
  12. I have heard of people lengthening the Mini Sting forks to accomodate the Sting's longer headtube. However, I have had both forks, and I did not notice until it was brought to my attention, but the width between the dropouts on the Mini Sting forks are a hair narrower than the Sting forks. I do not know why, but that is the case- even with the same type of round style dropouts.
