  1. Will Do,thanks Bren. Any other suggestions? Seems like the US have got the best of em?!
  2. thanks for all the info, Randy. I think i'll get the 900's then....
  3. Hi, Does anyone have any good UK powder coaters, perhaps specialising in bikes? I have GT performer frame in chrome, that i want white (probably!) Is it best to blast the chrome off, or chemically strip it? also the frame has a few light dents. Any recomendations for someone in the UK to repair these? or can i do it myself? I read on a BMXMUSEUM forum about using either Brass as a filler (specialised job presumably)? or some 2 part filler called "All metal"? In the UK we have something called chemical metal that sounds similar - a 2 part plastic based filler. Not sure whether it would stand the temp of a powder coating oven though? TIA Martin
  4. Also, can anybody tell me whether 1000's or 900's would fit on an 86 performer?
  5. Thanks Randy. i assume the whole caliper is bigger to give the 10mm difenec, rather than just having a longer pad mounting section?
  6. Sorry if this has been covered before - i did check but got confilcting opinions... is the reach on the 1000's 1mm more or 10mm more? If you use 1000's then surely the flexing of the arm depends on how far the pad is from the brake mounting bolt? - which whould be a funtion of the frame/fork and thus the same on either version, wouldnt it? thanks in advance... has anyone got a side by side pic to give me an idea? (i'm waiting on a GT performer frame to arrive from ebay. Want to make sure i get the correct brake set for the bike, by the way) M
