  1. nice interview. I like the idea. Glad to meet you, Hector
  2. I will post pics hopefully tomorrow. But, this frame and fork is BEAUTIFUL. It is NOS-Never had an axle through the drop outs. Chrome is shiney. Has some nics on it from shelf wear but oh man. I might have to hang on to this one for a while
  3. oh yeah. She should be careful and use protection. As a medical professional I feel it's my duty to remind her that safety comes first. You never know where that seat has been.
  4. side hacks? not a big fan of those on really nice bikes. Maybe its okay on a turd of a bike but not on something thats shiney and pretty.
  5. I ride MTB with disc bakes and my rims have a decal on both sides that I line up with the emblem on the tire-just cleans up the look a bit. Two things that have nothing to do with builds or annoying bike pet peeves but hey, whatever. +1 that is annoying. Also, starting a post with "Agreed."
  6. Chris Farely..."So, did you see Die Hard?" Remeber when he ran through the glass without any shoes?" That was cool.hey, joe. Welcome
  7. Matt, Great job on that one. It looks so clean and slick
  8. mongoose drummer I personally would not get out of shape over a non era correct part-so long as its close. Maybe instead of a ashtab single stem it might be okay to put a mongoose double clamp on it? (haha, I just re-read your post and noticed you said it first) Or if your build calls for a set of DC 1000 and you only picked up the 901's...etc. Would that only have an impact if the bike was entered in a competiton (BOTY) and lost due to a non era type part? I say if its for your garage build it to taste, but if you'd like a plaque saying Yippee winner winner chicken dinner then go for specs. Just something for consideration.
  9. So, I just scored big time-if youre a schwinn fan. I need a parts listing for a 1980 schwinn sting. Pretty tough to tell from pictures so if anybody has any idea of or where I could find something. I tried Gene's but his links wouldn't open for that year... So, any help and I would love it. I really regret selling off all of my collection. I needed many and wanted to get out of the hobby. a few days of surfing around the other web site and of course this one and I was re-enticed. I had so much cool stuff-85 master 87 fsx, sport, 86 pro performer, a ton of mongoose stuff including pro class cranks and a set of flawless series 3 hoops. Oh man. Anyway. Enough. I am back. I hope everybody has a great holiday.
  10. "I wouldn't be more suprised if I would wake up in the morning with my face sewn to the carpet.."
  11. +1 "when people mention the powder coater by name as if that's a "feature"." "unique" color combos. Sorry, but certain colors look great together others just plain don't
