I can see ur point & others here too, just ain't my thang. Wasn't necessarily talkin about "OG" condition here, as much as a battle-scarred relic that told a story of it's life. Been in the antique/vintage game about as long a you, and my personal

Sweet bike! I think I remember those seatpost clamps back in the mid 80's. I might have had one in a turqoise-y blue...

Kind Of Blue... my Miles x PK mashup
seafoamer replied to S.Brothers's topic in Riding, Research & Collecting
Ever since I can remember I have heard music in colors. As a child they were often extremely vivid too. Turns out that I almost always hear/see songs with a "D" tonic as being "green", and Mile's "So What" is no exception. So it always plays with my mind that the flagship tune of that album sounds so "green" to me... Awesome thread & Rippers!! -
'82-86' stuff appeals to me the most, probably because those were my 'hardcore' bmx years as a youngster.

A few years ago I sold this NOS set of 1983 Mongoose Pro Class Decals to a guy on the museum. For some reason, because they sold for $200 I was so sure they were going to a guy who would either display them or needed them to finish his build that I didn't do my due diligence and ask any questions about his intent. Turns out the guy who bought them is that Warren guy who owns vintage mongoose and now sells reproductions of these decals. Shitty I feel, and in hindsight I should have required intention of use and a picture of the unstickered bike they were going to be applied to. Live & learn, and shitty I feel...
