Whew this is a HOT 1!
  2. My wife and I took a ride to Florida for a gathering in late April. I knew of this Quad since 2013. Every year I would always asked him if it was for sale.....this year he said yes. 1980 Loop Quad! Serial # 1512! This bike was raced all its life and I wanted to keep the build real, real believable and built like it was ready to get down! My candy red loop Quad now has an older brother to hangout with. 5. RIP 3rd Gear. We banged heads constantly but always ended up still buddies after a cool off. You were the 1st dude I dealt with when I came into this hobby (it took you a year to ship it though....haha) ride hard and high in the sky my friend.
  6. This put a smile on my face! Nice to see some tires on dirt and putting the bikes through the paces! Cool track and nice to see the wife and you kickin some ass! Is this a sign that you two will be signing up and doing some racin??
  7. I didn't say it was a secret, you made it public what I told you what I wanted for it and had a cosmic meltdown too, which leads to me not taking the blame for the one you bought got listed at. I'm happy for ya, glad you got one. Post up the serial when you can. I'm curious. Fork has GHP on one side and Greg hill on the other.
  8. Between the Tech 7 locking levers and Nippons, there is your $600+. what serial # is yours? Mine was 984113. Cant wait to see what you do with it and glad it didnt take $5500 or $5200 to grab one. By the way, when your keyboard lips went flapping and clapping, you were the one who told everyone what I wanted for it. That wasnt public knowledge, just a text between you and I.
  9. While I hate to talk about another site. I was just over at the museum and saw this posted up for sale. This frameset has some history behind it and has a serial number on the BB FP013. Factory Pilot/Pro.....just was curious if anyone else has any info, insight on serial #'s. My OM is FP014 on the BB. Sean Ewing? Any help? Anyone else have an OM with FP in the serial number? Where these frames meant for Factory Riders?
  10. I admit that my title/description was off, kinda harsh and disrespectful. I was excited, I was thrilled and didnt think twice on my decision to post it up the way I did. Now i wish i never shared what i bought but it's too late now.
