  1. Your bike looks new, I always kept mine looking like new too, I am like that with my cars now. My parents would tell me to keep it in the garage but I would still sneak it in, they would get really mad when I left tire prints on the wall practicing balance for starts. Merry Christmas
  2. Looks like a CYC stormer 77-81 ish I had one with Ashtabula forks.
  3. What years where the VDC in production? I don't remember seeing them in 84 in the Colorado market(my last year involved)? Any history someone could share? They look very nice quality and innovative, love the frame.
  4. I have been using photobucket.com for a few years, it's free and I noticed the last couple of months they have been auto resizing anything I upload to 800X600 with file sizes around 100K no matter how large I send. It also keeps it crisp looking. I don't know if they do the thumbnail previews tho?
  5. Nice Pics I only made a couple of road trips out to Aurora, I think the track name was Spring Hill by Buckly AFB? My old favorite jump is under a golf course now(Hyland Hills), You tee off from where the jump was, it is kind of wierd when I play a round there and see it. Another Golf course goes right by the the old Adams county outdoor track(Riverdale 13th hole) you can still see the starting hill and big berms covered in weeds to the east.
  6. I raced from 80 to 84, not a hardcore points chaser tho. I started in 13 beginer and ended up 17X at the end. I raced ABA a few times too, mostly NBL(?) few of the other tracks Longmont outdoors, Thornton Rec outdoor, the old Jeffco downhill (they have a new track there now) I am sure there are others I can't remember. Cool to talk to another local, let me know the details maybe I can make it.
  7. Yup Adams County indoors, I used to race there mostly and the outdoor track in the summer. I lived in Westminster so it was close and I could talk an older brother into driving me or carpooling with some buddies. Do you guys ever organize any Colorado meets or anything?
  8. Twins Seperated at birth maybe.... lol Love the one foot X-up, I watch the dirt jumping on Xgames and it seems like the style factor is missing, they try and cram five tricks in one jump and comes off kind of jerky. I loved to watch a nice long silky smooth table top. I am impressed by the air they get now tho....
  9. Circa 81- 83 I believe GJS with ACS Z rims My buddies and I would like to try and duplicate shots we seen in BMX Action and Plus (I am on the far right) My the Hutch, I called it the Silver Bullet, I found a Coors Light Sticker and cut out the Silver Bullet part and stuck it on the number Plate(Read Nerd Here). I had the silver chrome pads, tried to make the whole bike chrome. The only racing shot I could find And finally my newest toy a 2000 Ambush 24, Thinking about hitting the 40 + cruiser class in the spring. Good Times
  10. Thanks for the welcome guys, I only have one more pic that I know of from back then I will have to search my parents house one of these days. I never got any pics of the GHP sorry Andy, it was a immaculate white, perfectly kept and it was my last BMX bike, I had to sell it for money to pay rent at my first apartment. I had a prototype Motobecane BMX bike for a few months, I had a sponsorship through the shop I worked with them. It was not very good quality though, mild steel frame and forks and the forks did not last twenty minutes The made me re-sticker some Tange cro-mos to their logo. After a couple of months they took it back and decided not to sell them, not sure about nationwide but not in the Denver area anyway. This picture is on a Huffy frame, I had broken my Hutch and was waiting a replacement (loved the guarantee they had). So for giggles I swapped all my stuff over to a Huffy frame, I want to say the whole setup was 5ish pounds heavier than the same setup on the Hutch. I think I even won a moto or two in the 16X class no mains tho
  11. Stumbled on the website a couple of weeks ago, love all the info on the site. I am a Colorado OSer from the early eighties, Found a few pics from then and decided to buy a a recent generation Quadangle to tinker with for my sons (and myself). I would love to do a OS build-up of a Quadangle - maybe someday? I even worked at a shop for about a year in 1984. Few of my OS rides Stormer(Junk but it started the madness) GJS PK Ripper Quadangle Skyway TA Hutch GHP GT 24 cruiser Here are a couple of pics - Power and Speed - Few pics of one of my favorites - Hutch Pro racer Circa 1982 I believe
