  1. I love racing. I had a decent year this seaon. And i agree we should all race.
  2. This is my "brainchild" for the njbmx state series. I did this so the guy who has that "old school bike" and still get's an itch to race it. here are the rules and regulations. King of old School Rider Requirements & other info NBL license is required. Helmets are required. (open face with mouthgaurd is allowed) there is no age limit for this series. anyone from age 7 to 70 is welcome. there will be a 10.00 entry fee. With all fees going toward the year end prizes. 100 percent goes back to the riders. the top 3 for the year will receive number plates and prizes. This will be an open wheel class 20 24 and 26 inch if you have it. **bike requirements** SINGLE SPEED BIKES ONLY NO CLIP PEDALS NO THREADLESS HEADSETS NO V BRAKES OR CANTI LEVER STYLE BRAKES NO CASSETTE HUBS (UNLESS THET ARE OLD SCHOOL SHIMMANO style HUBS) NO CARBON FIBER PARTS SCORING This series will be run with the nj state series. We will use the nbl scoring system. But at the state finals it will be triple points. There will also be a show and shine at each event. If the person wins the show and shine and the race WITH THE SAME BIKE that person will receive 200 bonus points toward the year end title. this part of the event is only for bikes that are being raced. You are welcome to bring a bike and show it. Savings bonds will be awarded as part of the year end prizes. This class is for the guys who want to have some fun and show off their bikes. _________________ official shedule will be announced when the state series is announced. I would like to add I am still seeking sponsors for the series.
  3. 1-3/8 araya rims but are they 7c 7l 0r 7x inside shot
  4. . I have no money yet therefore no time. Hell i have pretty much stopped building. Between working and racing next year no time. But i do have a "special project" will get done by june of next year. Hint John force . that isall i am saying.
  5. Was rained out last week. Running SATURDAY NOV.4 Kinda last minute post but if you are in the area! The 25th Annual Fall Classic is going down November 4th at HCBMX. Check for all the details at HCBMX. HC has gone through 3 reincarnations through the years and is still clocking the bermsasters. Ask Andy from Chip n Dales about the oval track days when you see him there... Speaking of Old School, here's the poop on the Old School Rippers Race: NO CLIPS, an O.S. outift is preferred, i.e.: jersey, pants, Vans, open face with a joffa, (not "required" but preferred), all complete "Old School" rides must be in GOOD WORKING condition, don't pull that rusty clunker out of the garage and expect to shred 20' doubles on it!. With that said, try to have something O.S. on your ride even if it's just a plate or pad. Lastly EVERYONE is invited, but please have some skills, this isn't a fathers day race, if ya know what we mean. HC hopes to see tons of Old School classics there and BS.net wants to get some crazy pictures so make them classics shine! Oh and the winner also gets their picture preserved for posterity wearing the classic, signed by Stu Thomsen and all the old school pros, white vans....
  6. Man i like the quad team. If porter does not come back might have to get one.
  7. I am dragging my haro out of the closet for a day. gotta put new cables on it.
  8. Are the one that own this sport. Not the aba-nbl or uci. no riders=no sanctioning bodies. There have been alot of companies that have come and gone, but bmx has survived. Imagine if we all banded and put our voices together. They would have no choice but to listen. I am doing my best to promote bmx as a "good thing" I want to see bmx in the olympics, but like alot of you i want to see a long term after effect. Not some "dorks" who run in make some money and bail out. I am sure this is something we all agree on. I do not want to get rid of the nbl or aba But I do want them to listen to what WE have to say. Is supercross bmx,to me no. How many tracks have a huge starting hill? It is a shame that dew tour riders (I am not hating on them or the x-games) Get tons of cash while the average racer has to hustle to get to a race. payouts are pitiful from what i have been told. Hell if dave mirra can do an oxy commercial, why can't bubba harris or donny robinson? Why because we are not noticed. Well it is time we got noticed! So what do we do. We make our voices heard, and get BMX back on top. Cause if there weren't any bmxer's there would not be any dew tour or x-games. these are my two new "teammates" the future of bmx.---------------------------------------------------------------
  9. Went to this local bike shop. Met the owner 34 year old ex racer who loves bmx. Has a "stunt team" but wants to start a bike shop team.(bmx) To make it short he has "asked me" to help him with it. (getting new kids, setting up a tent at the track. etc) Now this guy is not in it for the money. He does not have the time to go to the track like i do. I am asking for advice because I have never done this before. I geuss I am scared of letting someone down. I think I can do it. But I would welcome some input from all of you.
  10. Turned expert. Been thinking about it, not really an expert level rider, but i was racing with em most of the time anyway. And besides I just want to have fun and recruit new riders. i do not plan on hitting nats. across the country. I'll race the state series in NJ and a few regionals. My new motto is "So long as you are racing It does not mater what class you are in"
  11. Hey you were one of the better editors of plus. (what i now refer to as bmx crap) Glad to see you are around. btw Ridebmx is not much better.
  12. I love it dude, I got my robinson amtrac, and it is sweet. My wife rides it now.(I race a porter) But my amtrac is my baby.
