  1. Very well done! The 7c and 7b rim combo is just right! Re the year: That looks like a Panda Pro Am and if so I would date it at a 1979 or 80. I still have my pro am frame (which appears identical to yours) and fork that I raced for the 1980 season .
  2. Nice bikes! I always enjoy the close up detail images. Interesting that the chain stay was flattened on the Team model.
  3. A premium wheel set of its era and in great condition! What is not to like? Are the tires sew ups? Spokes appear to be DT?
  4. Every neighborhood had this group. Very cool.
  5. Very nice bikes! The details are just right! Also your comment about the feel of the 29er making you feel like a 10 year old on a 20 inch is one I fully understand.
  6. That cleaned up just right, Looks first class! Because of your post, I did some late night internet research. According to a number of sites Schwinn used Campy dropouts for the Paramount builds. There was plenty of additional information of note. The frame lugs I think are all one source Nervex. With some exceptions for the bottom bracket types due to expense of fabrication. Plenty of other info here: The Classic Era – 1958-79 (waterfordbikes.com) If this is correct and it seems to read well, your Paramount is a P-10 model.
  7. Thanks for the excellent images of the seat mast stickers and other details. I was way off on the age. 1971 makes it even more impressive given its fine condition. As cool as the Michigan license is, it's a shame that they partially cover the Schwinn sticker. I wonder if that bike is some type of an Olympics replica or that it pays tribute to an Olympic road bike victory or team? I wonder if the rear dropouts were by Schwinn or some European manufacture? Double butted spokes on those cool Campy hubs. Great stuff, congratulations on the score!
  8. Wow bike porn score! The Reedys and Paramount are in fine shape with little wear what is not to like. The Paramount looks to be a low mileage time capsule. Perhaps all original, I will guess a 1978 or 9 model. I especially like the chromed lugs. Could you take some close ups of the seat mast tube stickers please. I think that is a 531 and perhaps a bike shop sticker?
  9. Nice original Redline. I would like to see that Cannondale in the back.
  10. Albert, You will not get a new, quality full suspension MTB for under $1,000.00 in todays market. If you must have new, I suggest an entry level hardtail 29r. Look at entry level rides from Specialized, Giant, Trek, Cannondale etc. Otherwise and as stated above seek a used full suspension ride. You will likely end up with a 10-15 year old +/- bike which is not a bad thing. Find a good condition name brand ride that fits your size and have fun. Curt
  11. 2nd sentence should read: The wheel set is era correct bike porn, wow.
