  1. Thanks Stevie, that's the one. I'm in 3rd or 5th depending. I'm ahead of Tinker though. A whole moto of all HOF's. Still shocks me. I love how we all have our legs out MX style.
  2. I'm pretty sure I'll make the So Cal and sit in a comfy chair. If you look at the cover of BMXA when Scott Clark is leading I'm tucked in there in 4th or so with my GT jersey on from the same race. And yes Medrano was a brilliant jumper and I considered Bob one of my best friends in the Pro ranks as well as Bart McDaniels. Bart was a genius rider and one pro who I watched what line he was taking in practice. Both should be on the HOF list if they aren't. Bart was the best wet whether rider ever and Bob was just the coolest and we would sit and make fun of each other's music. Bob was a full Metal Head and a I Punk Rock nerd. We would give each other's tunes a try and then just bust on each other. Our trip together to Australia was so cool. Rambling again but so what. lol
  3. Cal 10, I think I may be on the outside of one of those moto's. I love the shot of Bart McDanials winning in the first turn. It's the first place I saw a palm tree in person. I would try to stay an extra week just to suck it up.
  4. Nice shots, I loved that track and being warm in the winter.
  5. I wasn't able to attend the funeral or the Memorial but my heart goes out to all the Sewell family and his friends who were there. I just wanted to say that to me personally he was always a gentleman racer. He never came across the line without congratulating those who did well and those that didn't make it. There was no ego. He was a classy guy. R.I.P Anthony. You are loved. Greg
  6. Nice picture JCW. I will worship the bike and the jersey. I wanted one of those so bad and my brother would NEVER let me ride it. I was a tad small and he didn't want me to fall and dent the tank. Lucky california guys with your weather and sweet bikes and great tracks.......
  7. Man Rick I got the same raw deal in 74 0r 75. I BEGGED my dad for an XR 75 and he brought home a Kawasaki 90 just like that Suzuki in your post. It had a rotary motor and was a pooch. I was crushed and tried to trick it out some but it was useless. And all you need to do is slap some pop bottle glasses on that picture of you in your Honda jersey and it's me. I wore that thing to school and any race and any other function where I thought people should know about Honda's. In 75' they let the 5th graders at my grade school make an art mosaic for the front wall of the school out of hand painted like bathroom tiles. I went back last year and there sat my tile and it says HONDA XR 75. I wanted to pry it off the wall.....sniff.....blubber......beautiful.
  8. Alright Rick, that video is great and I'm super jealous you got to actually go to that race. Now I have to confess I hated Suzuki and DeCoster was my sworn enemy. LOL I'm serious though you know how allegiance's go as a kid. I was a Honda man and I even liked Heikki with his Husky jersey. In 77 or 78 my brother switched to an RM 125 and he talked my dad into getting me an RM 80. I felt like a traitor so I would wear my Honda jersey or a Webco jersey but I would never buy a Suzuki jersey. I sucked on the thing and would get smoked by anybody on a YZ 80 or anything else but the point was, DeCoster is the enemy !!!
  9. Hey Rick, nice to be posting. Hope you're doing well. This thread is amazing. Mel you're a genius. If memory serves me didn't Wolsink win back to back USGP's at Carlsbad ? Do you remember waiting for that race to be on ABC's Wide World of Sports all year like I did ? I'm going to take some grief for this but I hated it when the Euro's won. I respected the hell out of them and they were all on my wall too but, I wanted an American to win so bad. I mean he was a dentist for god's sake ! I'm kidding but I was really happy when Marty Smith and the rest of the Americans picked up their game and started winning here and abroad. We were underdogs and I love a good underdog story. G2
  10. That photo of Marty Smith above was on my wall for years. Man, that's all I ever wanted to do and to be was represented by that picture. G2
  11. You should have seen the weird shit I've done in it too Greyboy. lol Grubber
  12. Just gotta bust out the pictures of George huh Shannon? Where is Chicken these days ?
  13. Steve, it was great having lunch. Steve and I need new jobs if anybody wants to hire us just to be " idea " guys. That's a good eye you have Jon it is a Pro Fit stem. And thanks again Shannon for the HOF words. I think Baumert and I sort of made Dennis wince with some of our brotherly arguments like the time I left Joe at the hotel for the race at North Park, Pennsylvania. And Reilley 1, you're the good man and I'm glad I have got to hang out with you. Still stunned by being in the HOF Grubber
  14. Thanks for all your hard work and patience Steve. We never even got to the on the road antics did we ? Or the punk bar riot in Kansas ? Hey choad666 what town do you live in ? 60 miles huh ? Columbus ? Anyway thanks again Steve I hope I didn't come off as too much of a douche. Grubber
  15. Thanks guys, I've been in Nebraska and I'm having log in problems. I'm stunned to tell you the truth. Nice photos but it looks like I need to lose some weight. I really can't believe it. Congrats to Elaine and Dennis as well I'm honored to be in such a group. Thanks to anybody who voted for me. Hell, I didn't even vote for me. Thanks to the ABA and all those that put on the vote like you Shannon. I owe you much. Jeez it's still a stunner. Grubber
