I'm looking forward to this ride also. It should be interesting to see some bikes come out of hiding, as the old school scene in New Zealand is growing. Shame you can't make it there Mike. I've got a spare bike you can ride. I'll be riding this My son will be coming along too, he's so stoked about it. He will be on this Sorry to jack your thread Andy.... back on topic, either bike would be cool to see, but the Patterson would be more unique.

New Zealand Mini-Max
Redline-Larry replied to Redline-Larry's topic in Riding, Research & Collecting
Year He was really suprised. He knew he may be getting a bike but was not expecting an old school one. -
Finally finished the Mini-Max for my Sons 5th Birthday. It's a Healing 'Mini-Max' made in New Zealand in the early 80's. I scored the frame & forks off Andy Diamond. None of his mates will have a bike like his. And he is stoked! Looks cool next to my redline also.

PRP Old school mid 70's Dogtown flavor
Redline-Larry replied to G-flash's topic in Riding, Research & Collecting
Cool! I like the simplicity of the 70's bikes, they have a certain 'stripped down for racing, I mean business' look to them. -
Cool story mate! very few still have their rides from back in the day. I would give my left nut for ride in a time machine & go back and stop myself selling my Redline when I was 16. I needed some money so I sold it to some kid. I remember the sick feeling when I watched his dad put my bike in his car, and drive off.

The bars for the pit (along with some other stuff. rims, stem etc.) came from a new school huffy which I cannibalized.

Cool, who was the original Architect? I'm a CAD tech & designer myself, I would be very interested in seeing some more about it.
