  1. Let me know if you decide to let go of that stem..... Don't have one yet!
  2. First runs/prototypes were reconfigured Redline frames. In some cases you can find the Redline dropouts like you see in the pictures above, and I have seen in others, the Redline oval on the bottom of the bottom brackets. On some of the first generation Struts the Redline oval is present on the fork stem as well......
  3. Here are the close-ups.... These are the 20" wheels that I have not put them on a bike yet.... FRONT REAR FRONT FRONT FRONT
  4. I brought this over from another forum... Just came in the mail Thursday, 1 set of 24" and 1 set of 20" Skyway Graphites....... I have been pondering this build for about a year now and finally put it together. With the help of Perry and Bob over at Skyway I have made the Kastan/Skyway Graphite Tuff a reality. I was so excited that they arrived I threw them on one of my other builds. I do however have two frames, 20" and 24", set aside to build up for these wheel sets. Take a look.......
  5. Just got the T-shirt today, looks like my wife is going to try to get it from me, if she can LOL...... Anyway, thanks to all that voted. I will wear the shirt with honor. Thanks, Jason kastanbmx01

  7. What you have is a first generation 20" KEX Pro (20" TT) or a 20" KEX Pro-S (20.5" TT). These frames were made from 1989 to 1991. Colors for this frame included red, teal, dark blue (rare) for store release and yellow for the team model. This was the OG frame set that came with the single sided fork or "Strut". Good luck on your restore.
  8. So when did the dark blue frame come out??? I have this Kastan 20" Pro that is the OG color before I repowdered it.... Here are the first three generations of Kastan........... Kastan KEX Series (1989-1992 approx.) Kastan Proline Series (1992-1993 approx.) Kastan Squareback Series (1994-1995 approx.)
  9. Here is my Hawk.....Those Hawk decals look familiar!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Here are some OG spec sheets too..................
  10. The one without the reinforcement is an earlier frame set than the one with. Kastan started putting the ring around the the neck because they would get stress cracks.
  11. I posted this in Trackside and figured I would bring it over her as well. I have been pondering this build for about a year now and finally put it together. 13. I would like to thank this site and all that showed up this weekend for the show. I myself had a great time and can't wait till next year. For all of you that attended thanks for the hospitality and friendship. All the bikes looked great and I only wish I could have brought more to show. I would like to put out a special thanks to Alvin Mullins for opening up his house to all for an after the bike show ramp jam. The guys riding the ramp brought back a lot of memories of local bike shop freestyle shows. Next time JT needs to ride the ramp, hint hint......THANKS Alvin!!!! For all of you that attended use this thread for your "Thank You's" , I am sure all would like to hear them. P.S. For those of you that I talked to about the copies of the pictures I took send me a PM or e-mail me at kastanbmx@hotmail.com
