  2. According to an interview that I did with Linn Kastan in 2001, he kept a ledge of all the Redline frames he built until about early 1978. In March of 1978, he was at Frame # 010500. Being that your frame is #25267, it might be a safe guess that it is a 1979 frame. Also most of the literature supports plated frames in 1979.
  3. I interviewed Linn Kastan at length about the evolution of Redline about 10 years ago. He maintained a journal with all the serial numbers from the first frame to the 10,800th frame made in March 1978, the last entry according to him.. In his words, they made 35 monoshock frames/bikes. They were mainly a promotional tool. There were 635 1st gen Squarebacks made, a small amount of 16" frames made and then the numbers carried through to the 2nd gen squareback, the MX-II and the early Pro-Lines. Some of the monoshocks had the serial number stamped on the head tube like their moto-cross frames.
  4. It is not only PayPal. It is all companies that provide payment services and credit card merchant services.
  5. Tell that to the guy restore his old Chevy and using repro badges. Reproduction is not a dirty word. What is dirty is when people shamelessly try to pass stuff off as original and it is not.
  6. Offer a suggestion for how to mark them indelibly...
  7. We can mark them with a big watermark across the graphic stating "REPRO". I leave all copyright dates off my Mongoose decals for that reason and get complaints that they are not accurate. Can't win no matter what we do.
  8. This is going to be cool. I had a set of the R/W/B set years ago. They came on a single sheet with everything die-cut by shape. THought the head tube/handle bar decals were pretty neat decals considering everything else at the time was a rectangular/square shape
  9. Happy.... You just made a payment of $100.00 Paid to Old School BMX
  10. We can print them if Mick can get the artwork knocked out. RipVanWinkle, you'll be on the flow list if you can help us out. Greyboy, thanks for the order, it is in the envelope and going out in the morning. Enjoy.
  11. Thanks to getset for the rectangular decal dimensions and Rod Miles getting the head tube oval dimensions off my gold Race Inc that he has for repairs. Special thanks to Mick for the artwork..exquisite details from the master!! I have the chrome foil coming in. I'll have them listed on bmxproducts.com soon.
  12. The Panda Pro-AM Raider was a mild steel entry level import from Taiwan. RandyS called it.
  13. Thanks for reposting the interview Sean. Doing that interview was a blast. Mike is by far one of the most interesting guys I've had the privilege of taking to about the old days. He is a wealth of knowledge and anecdotes. Please let him him know if you see him that I said hello. Bill
