  1. Brian, this is a different frame. I had this one when you were selling yours. These are the only 2 chrome ones I have ever seen. Thanks Jon Yep... Brian Henson... I believe he mentions it somewhere in the vintage forum archive.
  2. Did someone say Basher... My RA7 version has a sn that begins with RA49xxx. It was purchased from the original owner in GA but had TRX forks on it. While most start with a 5 this one does not. I have a red mild steel one as well with the shadow down tube decal like Jon's. The rear triangles on the mild steel is nearly identical to my 81 loop quad. I date this chrome one and the red one as an 81. A long long long time ago a guy named Brian from SoCal was selling a ton of SE stuff. You old timers might remember his last name but those brain cells are dead for me. Anyway he had an RA10 frame stickered as a Basher. I never saw a pic of it and have never seen one mentioned again. I believe it is possible but again have seen no proof.
  3. Lee, you just blew my mind! I had no idea that any manufacturer stretched the rear triangle instead of the front. I mean isn't the reason for a "long" version to accommodate bigger riders? I thought the standard changa was 18.5 and I saw that the freestyle was 20+. I figured the long would be in between.
  4. I'm trying to distinguish between a vdc changa and a changa long. Anyone know the TT length on these? Thanks for the help!
  5. HOLY CRAP!!! The only thing this is missing is the reuniting of a killer 80s punk band. Someone get on the horn to Rollins...
  6. Thanks for the props guys. The cool thing about this ride is that the little man told me what colors he wanted to roll with. I just chose the components. He was risen pretty hard again on it tonight hittin stairs and the box ramp. Like father like son no doubt!
  7. Thanks Captain. Good Times and Good Memories. I'm still smiling over this build.
  8. Whats up peeps. I finally picked up some final bits for my 7yr old's first old school ride. When I first got into this hobby my intention was to restore my old pk for my son. That was about 7 years ago and a dozen bikes later. Anyway it was pretty unrealistic because he really wouldn't be able to rock it til he hit about 12. So I started piecing together a mini. I finally landed a set of metal flange tuffs and me and my son built it this weekend. I wish I was so lucky as a kid... He is totally down with the hobby and has helped me with a few other rides but I am pretty stoked that he finally got his. Here is the parts breakdown... cw mini bars dx mini stem ame bubble font mini grips uni mini uni mini seat cover cal lite frame pad dc hinged clamp dc tech 3 lever pro-class rear caliper cheng shen compe IIIs tioga sealed bb sugino gt 165mm sugino 44t chainring shimano pdmx pedals Skyway tuff IIs front alloy rear steel with freewheel SE Racing mini RIPPER SE Racing Landing Gear Lites Hope you dig it... I do! Looking forward to building another one of these in a couple years for the little guy.
  9. Damn Matt, you could not have said it better! You guys don't want to miss this event. This is becoming if not already the biggest east coast old school ride. Thanks to you and Brian in advance. -Mike
  10. The bars on the quad look like old school se cruiser bars.
  11. Thanks Lee. The gt is an 85 and I think that's when white really popped on bikes so I thought why not try it on the 24. The tuffs ride just as nice as the arayas. I need to loose the repop pads though. If any of you guys saw my wanted post for a black/gold crossbar pad, I still need it to get this OM finished.
  12. It totally feels like a limo. This was a west coast bike so I thought it might be familiar to some of you.. I think it was at Roseville a few times. I only know of 1 other survivor in red. I hear you on the seat!!! That is a tough find for sure.
  13. I bought it as a complete survivor. But it non bubble font ames when I got it.. I swapped out the xc1s for survivor dx. I swapped out a crappy yellow seat for a rehabbed uni. I believe the post it came with is SE so that will be going back on once I find the right seat. Suggestions for seat and grips would be appreciated. It's a pretty wild ride. Totally different than my 24s and nothing like my S&S
  14. Hey guys. The family took off for the night so I had time to worke on a couplr of bikes and ride. Here is my survivor 1982 OM. I took it for a spin tonight for the first time. Parts worth mentioning are... GT first gen bars DK square corner invert stem IRC comp IIs I also swapped out the silver arayas on my 85 GT for some 85 tuffs. Hope you like them... I do
