  1. Thanks for the insight, Brian. However, I did some routing around on the help screens, and it seems that feature is reserved for Premiere Members. I just started posting here, so I think I'll feel my way around a bit more before buying membership.
  2. The avatar will go as soon as I figure out how to upload my own. I only recently started posting here. I've been reading here for quite some time, but kept my post time on the "other" site. I'll change it - but not out of lack of allegiance to Phlly! Sabres? NEVER! Best thing in Buffalo is the wings. Period. :off topic:
  3. Bike shops, pawn shops and yard sales, eh? All good - but don't forget about auctions! Check the newspaper for municipal and police auctions. Often times there's TONS of bikes that sell super cheap! I bought an orange GT Performer last week for 28 bucks. It's all original and in pretty good shape...except for a hairline crack in one of the 3 spoke mags. I'm not sure what year it is, but it says "Made in USA" on it, so I'm guessing early 90's. I bought a cro-mo Mosh cruiser for 5 bucks at an auction last year. Bear in mind, most of what you'll see there is complete crap - rusty Next and Mongoose bikes. But there is an occasional treasure.
  4. The candy blue is sick! The blue bars are nice, and the chrome ones look even better!
  5. I'd be cautious with soaking in bleach. Extensive exposure to bleach can yellow white surfaces...I had it happen to countertops once. I think sunlight is a safer bet to try to get original appearance back. The airbrush idea is interesting, too. If you found a compatible white, you could mask off the smooth part where the lettering is, thus saving it. Since there's a line there anyway, it may be hard to tell afterward that you did any paint work at all.
