  1. OMG thats s o awesome! Haven't visited for a long time but this thread was great to come back to!! Sundance was definately the s#%^ and have many fond memories from BITD. I moved back to Chicagoland a few years ago and actually drove by a few months back & the mall was there so will have to check it out. My survivor Trick Star was built mostly with parts purchased at Sundance & I only recently was able to pull it out of storage, look for it in next years BOTY survivor class When I can find them, I've also got some great old pics of one of the Haro shows there, those were great. At the last one I saw, Dave Nouri was having a contest w/ a rider from another team to see who could collect the most Swatches on tour. I happened to have been wearing about 6 of them & asked he asked me if id trade for one. He gave me his team jersey for it, blood & all after he took a pretty good spill. Still have it, DNA intact! I'll scan some pics in whenever I come across them.
  2. Here's mine just how it was in the 80's. Still need an chrome aerospeed disk for it btw. :25:
  3. :32: Well there it is!!! Probably would have helped if I wasn't looking in a dark garage with my sons little flashlight initially.
  4. I should have prefaced the pictures with an explanation of the decals. Back in the day I thought chrome decals would look better than the white letters that the frame set came with. So I bought a set that the white frames came with and cut out the letters with an exacto knife and there you have it. The fork stickers came off from riding. Sorry for the confusion. I'll send some higher res. photos when I have more time, hard with a toddler around.
  5. That's what I'm trying to figure out. Any help? :25:
  6. last one. Also the seat post cut is straight no (key hole), not sure what else to look for. If the number is covered by paint it must be pretty thick because there's absolutely no hint of ingraving anywhere.
  7. Whoops I tried to attach 4 at a time so heres the rest.
  8. OK, I'm going to try and post some pics here; had to reduce them quite a bit so hope it works.
  9. Thanks for replies. I'll try and post some pics soon.
  10. Just looked over my old Trickstar and couldn't find a serial number anywhere. Its metallic blue bought mail order back in 85-86. I read if it doesn't have one its probably american, any one agree. Also looking for an Aerospeed disc (authentic) for my Aerospeed cranks anyone have ideas where to start? Sucks people are selling the repros on ebay as real thing.
  11. Ah ha! Just scrolled down to recent thread about this. Thanks, I almost bought that blue one off e-bay. Thats pretty sad people are selling those repros as original; I've had my cranks since 85 and want to make sure the disc I put on is real! Any advice on finding one?
  12. Anyone know if there is any way to tell if a Hutch Aerospeed disc is authentic? I am looking for one for my set of Aerospeed cranks and want to make sure it's the real deal. Thanks
