I'm new to all this restoration malarky, I used to ride a Freeway Freestyler back in the eighties and have just rebuilt and old GT Vertigo, although it's not strictly an old school freestyler I've decked it out with a lot of old school parts. My problem is that I have a pair of MX levers that I've had since school, unfortunately the new gyro that I've fitted doesn't fit the levers, the distance between the end of the outer cable and the nobbly bit on the inner cable is too long, is there any adapter I could get that would enable me to use these levers? or a way of shortening the cable?
