  3. Those are Cooks. The bros sold their buisness to jack about 90 or 89. the bros. started to make cranks again under the cook's name. Jack did not like this since they were using their name they sold to him and the same basic design. After Jack had his say the bros. changed to CQP and and changed their design so that the pedal bosses were squared and where the spindle goes got ovalized. They also came out with some tubular ti cranks. Then they disappeared from the bike industry. Hope that helps. If anyone has a set of silver dog bones let 171 and up, drop me a line. ckevlar@yahoo.com
  4. I think repoing parts is good for the people who cant afford the originals or if there is not many around. They must be marked though reguardles. The cro- mo on that post could have said mo-fo instead and all would be fine. Just be honest if your gunna sell it by marking it some how. The se bars should have been made a half inch shorter on either side than the originals. The cross bar could have been higher or bigger. There is alway a way to keep the repros slightly different. Its up to the person who makes it. Not the idiots who are gunna sell them as originals for a ton of :22:. If they're gunna rip you off they are gunna do it with the knowledge that they may get caught. Those flight 400 bb that are being reproed. There is no way those will pass as originals. They are 100 times more precise. Chit, I'd trade my original for a set. Yes there are idiots that will buy a repro as an original but that is their own fault. Do your research before you buy. Ever get somthing off ebay that was not as expected, and it was sold as is? Same thing. You kick your self in the dairy aire for not asking this or lookin for that. Tim, I agree with you for the most part. But, you made stickers and marked the paper backing. How about those who bought your stickers and put them on a replated/painted frame and sold them as originals? You could have marked them in the artwork too when you had them reproduced. I'm sure the honest people you sold them to were very happy to be able to finish their project because of your stickers though. BTW anyone know how to get intouch with the person who runs HELIX bmx.com? I want one of those stems. And if anyone has any reproed cbr cruiser stickers or scaned artwork let me know as I have a cruiser I want to refinish ad sell as mint nos found in the attic of an old shop for big money  Chris
