RICK'S BIKE SHOP BUILDER OF THE YEAR AWARD 2009
Mrs.Sod replied to S.Brothers's topic in Riding, Research & Collecting
OMG!! Brian's in the garage crying. He couldn't go the show. We had a Baptism. His niece came in from Chicago to baptize the baby. He had resigned himself that he couldn't attend the show this year. Family came first. He is totally overwhelmed by this award!!! He'll be on here when he collects himself. Thank You for his recognition. It's truly appreciated!!! -
I just loved all your picture titles and comments. Very cool and great photos. Looks like you had a great day!!

Great Photos Guys and Great slideshow, too! The old fart even made the ride. He's been sneezing with these Santa Ana winds and out in the garage for weeks building. Go get some some exercise, they're riding now. So he just grabbed the old beach cruiser, threw on an old '06 OS-BMX long sleeve and left. He caught up with everyone at the Deli and continued onto Balboa and back. He said it was a grand turnout and got to BS with a lot of the guys. Do it again, great exercise, beautiful riding day.

You're welcome. Though I didn't have anything to do with the CD except find your mailing address. Brian figured you couldn't see his YouTube video over there of the El Dorado Park shindig. So he put it among others on a CD for you. I saw your R&R photos, great surfing shots!!! Take Care.

He doesn't yell at any of the neighborhood kids. He just stands up and they are intimidated. But, he'll probably yell at Cruiserking if he touches those rims.

This one came out nice too. Last one.

Here's one fully loaded.

Here's another photo.

Well, here's a preview photo of the bikes Brian, Sodbuster is bringing to the show. Yeah, they all fit.

Someone mentioned that we're not into racing much here. I don't think so. Everyone's going to be watching the 2008 games for Olympic BMX!!! I wanted to know who is on our USA team. I didn't find any one topic anywhere stating who our Team is yet, I guess it's not quite official yet. But this website has tons of photos and info much more than the official USA Olympic site. GO USA! http://www.genesbmx.com/2008-bmx-olympics.html#054 p.s. Great site Steve, I hope it's okay to list this. Peace out. p.s. Here's the application for a press pass to the trials 6/14, Steve> https://www.usacycling.org/media/media-BMX.php http://www.usacycling.org/news/user/story.php?id=3478

Sod thought his twisted knee was just a sprain until they did an MRI and it was a fracture. Lots of ice and Advil and rest to you. Summer's over here.

Whittier Downhill bomb-run and Picnic
Mrs.Sod replied to reilley1's topic in Riding, Research & Collecting
Surgery went really well on Monday. Another 6 weeks on crutches. And the Dr. was vague on recovery time. He's thinking about using those crutches for a seat brace on Rat Bastard as it's broken too. -

Well, the MRI shows a torn meniscus and a fractured plateau tibia. 2 xrays and neither technician caught the break in the back of the knee. Out patient surgery scheduled for Monday 7/23. A couple of screws in the break, repair the tear, and clean up the knee. Luckily no torn ligaments. 6 weeks off his feet. He's getting pretty good already with the crutches, turning off lights, opening the screen door for the cats. The so called hospital emergency room sprain has turned into a real Doozie.
