Wrong site for that. If you want one, spend the time to find an original. Making new ones only weakens the brand and their history.

Chris was a friend. That was a very hard phone call. He will be missed by many.

This is the only known polished frame (listed as an option in magazine test) also has custom team graphics added (also listed as an option).

All original finishes except wheels which were an NOS build.

#549889 FS: Rare Control Tech built Redline Cruiser PL-24 ALU

Posted by wagonguy on 03 December 2016 - 09:35 PM

The liquidation begins.

Rare Control Tech built frame, loaded with high end parts. This bike is a time capsule, as raced in the 90's. Kovachi built 28h Sun Chinook rims, dk hubs, CQP cranks, XCII pedals, hIRD seatpost (never seen another one), do inverted neck, Answer alumilite bats (cut down to 26"), VG bar ends, Answer ProForx.

The frame and seatpost have a hole drilled just under the seat clamp bolt for a brake cable. Svelte seat has a small chunk missing at the back. Bodybelt pads are blue on the inside.

22" top tube

This bike is an amazing period piece. Any questions, please ask!

#545633 my first mid school project: S&M Dirt Bike

Posted by wagonguy on 27 November 2015 - 07:30 PM

That's what happened to me. I got out of BMX in 1984 and back in in 2003. I missed the Mid School era completely. AN S&M Dirtbike is what made me aware, and then I started noticing how cool the bikes of that era were. SO much innovation, gimmick, and obscure stuff happening. I ended up with more Mid than old.

#543207 Crazy trade idea......

Posted by wagonguy on 25 May 2015 - 09:20 PM

So..... My daughter totaled her car in Saturday. She is fine, but she worked very hard to buy that car and now it is gone. I'm looking for another one that she can buy from me through work/payments ( I never believed in giving my kids a car). I have some pretty choice pieces in my collection, both old school and mid school. Regulars on this site know some of the stuff I have. Pretty much everything is on the table. Car must be an automatic, and somewhere near me. Preferably NorCal area. If anybody is interested, hit me up and we can talk specifics.

Somebody made a whole bunch of these a coupe years ago. Personally, I won't touch one unless it is obviously used or I personally find it.

#536902 OG brown S&M Dirtbike finished

Posted by wagonguy on 11 October 2014 - 11:29 PM

I grabbed this off my local Craigslist a few weeks ago as a pile of parts. I tried to use as much of the original parts as I could. The seller was the original owner, and said that he received this frame fork and bars from Chris after breaking his Holmes. This is a fairly scarce sticker set, and all others I've seen are 1 1/8". The Cramps sticker on the right fork leg was almost completely gone, but I figured out what it was by the shadow in the chrome. Found the correct sticker on eBay to replace it. Frame, fork, headset, gyro, bars, wheels, pedals, chain, and chainwheel are all original to the bike, the rest I added to make it complete.
