  1. Sold to a worthy BMX Society member!
  2. No, it’s not April 1st. Yes, I know I will regret it and never own another one. Due to a host of poor life choices and a series of bad investments, I have decided to finally let my 1977 Torker MX go after over 25 years. I found it in the L.A. Times in the mid ‘90s before I even knew what eBay was. I got it almost as you see it here. I added the Redline stickers on the forks, Oakley grips and pads which were all NOS before that. I also added the minty Mesinger seat that I got on the site. The bike came with a Brooks seat that I tossed because I didn’t know what it was back then and couldn’t find any info on it—wah, wah. The frame is OG paint complete with the LBS sticker. It is in great shape but not 100% perfect. There are some reasonable scratches. Redline nickel-plated forks and V-bars. Obviously it has Motomags II wheels and the tires are Cheng Shin—they look fine but have million little cracks in them. I was told its Schwinn chain ring? Cranks are Takagi MX with KKT Lightning pedals—missing one cap. Yeah, they are too new, but they came on it. Seat post clamp… PLME or Laguna—can anyone tell? And then there is the Cooks Brothers double clamp stem—“It is so choice, I highly recommend picking one up if you have the means…” If there is anything you guys can tell me about this bike, or if I am wrong about something, let me know. Yes I am asking $4500. Wait, what?!? Look, I’m not trying to be a prick (it comes naturally). Like I said above I will never find another one—not like this. I couldn’t find any bikes to compare it to, but the one Cooks Brothers stem and one PLME clamp on eBay sold for like $1500 EACH… I don’t want to rob anyone, but I don’t want to leave any money on the table either. I am willing to discuss price with serious buyers—especially trusted members who won’t powder coat it green. I will also send more info, pics and video. There’s a catch however (there’s always a catch). I will NOT ship this bike. Cash paper money in person only. So you can come here to Phoenix, AZ, or for the right buyer, I will bring it to SoCal OC area. This will not show up on eVilbay. For sale here and on the BMX Society site only. No joy riders, tire kickers or dreamers. No sob stories, I have my own. (Sorry, old Criagslist habit.)
  3. Bored much? I'm lucky to say I'm enjoying this time to get a bunch of projects done (my wife too)! But this whole debacle got me thinking there are some people bored out of their minds. And, since this year's BMX Society Extravaganza has been postponed, I figured we could do what we do best and look back at our past to relive some of those really good memories! So here is the deal, you can access, look at and download these images and use them for non-commercial use. Basically, anything personal. Make prints (Big images only), or share on the Internet (small images only). Don't forget to throw a shout out to BMXSociety.com and MoPhoto.co ! There are two folders for each event, one with large images (print only, too big for Internet) and one with small images (Internet and e-mail only, too small to print) The file numbers are the same, so if you want to print IMG1234Small.jpg, go to the corresponding Big folder and download IMG1234Big.Jpg (may also be IMG1234.Jpg). To download click on any image, use the Download Pull Down at the top and select Original. DO NOT Select All Available Originals as it will download the entire gallery and you will curse me--you have been warned! Enjoy and be safe everyone! https://mortonphotographic.zenfolio.com/bmxsociety PW: osbmxbmxsMPSB

  5. I would love to trade some of the stuff above for a mongoose expert 24 in or similar Mongoose Cruiser, frame and fork or complete, or anywhere in between.
  6. Yeah, I hope it works. It's rough out there trying to sell anything, Craigslist is worthless in Phoenix, and eBay is just a gamble these days. All the stuff in the other post is only on the society, but this stem is actually on Facebook Marketplace as well. I get no hits until today and some guy bad mouths my post saying he wouldn't pay twenty bucks. Then he offers me $40, LOL typical online sales BS!
  7. I will end, for now, with this... NOS, mint, Torker, 26-inch, Cruiser handlebar pad in red. It really is perfect as something from this era gets, I will say the end of the foam seems a little dry, but not crunchy. For this gem I am asking $299.00 shipped. Wait... What? Why?!? I don't know about you, but I've never seen one before, I've had it for years and didn't even know what it was until recently. Right now on eBay Torker frame pads (that they claim are for a cruiser) appear to be going for $599, I don't want to give this away and find out it was worth Bank. Yeah I think $600 for a pad is insane too. But then, so is $6,000 for 26-inch torker frame and fork. I know, I'm not complaining, supply and demand... And yes, we can talk about the price on this one too. Price drop, so it looks like those frame pads did't actually sell for $600, back to to $400 now?
  8. Down and dirty NOS Oakley 2 grips. Check out the pic, I'm pretty sure both of these are right side. You tell me. What you see is what you get $100 shipped.
  9. A b a stamp pad. I have no idea what to charge for this I've never seen one before. I'm asking $120 shipped, so let's talk price.
  10. NOS bulldog Pro Neck stem pad, Torker stem pad, Tuff Neck Stem Pad, $60 each shipped, I have a few of these Mike Buff freestyle pad set. Had these for years and never could figure out what the little pads were for, until I saw Mike buff in an ad where these were the pads on the lower section of a handlebars. It's a pretty complete except there is no foam for the frame pad. $100 for the whole set, shipped, or let's discuss.
