Redline Bike ID. What model is this
RL Paulie replied to Poppysoul's topic in Riding, Research & Collecting
The 86 catalog shows them with more traditional "STR"? looking bars. That's what came on it them in 85 but by the time production bikes started rolling into shops the bars in the pic are what they had. -

Those are the stock low end Redline freestyle bars from that era. Forklifters went on the high end bikes. -
Not sure where you got this blurb, but it does not describe this bike. The top of the line GT freestyle bike in '98 was the SHOW. This frame is obviously not aluminum.

Nice! Looks like a mostly stock appearing Performer. I wouldn't be surprised if those wheels were original. Obvious swap in color of bars and post. Too bad about the clamp. Cheese grater chainwheel isn't original. In 85 the Performer, Pro Performer and World Tour were all based on the same frame so it should be all chromoly US or Japanese. What's the SN?

A pic of your bike next to something interesting

If you're on Facebook there's a group called "Look at my bike leaning against stuff" which has been entertaining. -

What do you want to do? The least risky kind of "freestyle" would be flatland. I would start there.

Definitely 2006. I just did a search on vintage and found some info. June 17, 2006 to be exact.
